Modifying a booking that's under 30 days out?

If you're trying to modify a single night that is under 30 days out, can you use it to book a date that is more than 30 days out? Or at a different resort?

I am getting an option only for the same resort, but not sure if that is because of the 30-day thing or whether it's because it's at a non-WDW resort. Thanks - will probably have to call MS in the AM ...

Non-WDW resorts can only be changed to the same resort you are modifying from. Just like WDW resorts can only be modified to WDW resorts.

Regarding the 30 day thing....if you are less than 30 days out then you would only be able to modify to a maximum of 60 days out as being inside 30 would trigger holding rules. Someone correct me on this second part if I am wrong as I am basing this on an assumption.

If you modify a trip 30 days or less, it results in holding points and won’t let you use them more than 60 days in advance.

But, I believe modifying the non DVC resorts of VGC and Aulani require a call.
