Modify Dining Reservations

We arrive tomorrow and I am curious as to how the 24 hours advance cancelation policy works.

1. I thought I read that you can cancel up to midnight the night before without being charged. Correct?
2. however, does Disney let you modify reservations if available without charge the same day?

Can I call tomorrow and move up my evening teppan reservation from 7:00 to 5:30 without a penalty?

1. It's a "one day" cancellation policy, not a 24-hour policy. So, yes, you can cancel any time before midnight without being charged.
2. Generally, no, you cannot modify a reservation with a fee. But you can show up early and ask if anything is available.

There has been a policy shift as far as changing ADR times recently. You can modify your ADR time on MDE or the website for no charge. Just click on the change reservations button, search a new time, hopefully your new time is open, and make the change. We have made several adjustments to our ADRs for our June trip already. Very nice change in the policy, instead of having to search for a new ADR, canceling the old one, researching the new one...
