ok, I spoke to Ceese today, POP could not find our fridge, but they gave her one of thiers to use They said they will keep looking for it, and told her they will make it right. Hopefully that means they will replace it if it doesnt show up.

She is having a great time, and will call me when they leave to give me the latest update. Hopefully there will be a fridge when Kim gets there. We will get this figured out, if it kills me .

Thanks as always Fran! Is that a small fridge? We ordered a lot of things thinking it would be a bigger fridge...oh well, something is better than nothing Tell her we said thanks for keeping us posted!

Still checking in- sorry to hear that the fridge is still missing.

Did cesse get the package with the toaster? As has been noted the fridge box had lime green packing tape on it. The label was framed in lime green tape, and the fridge hinge cover kept coming off and I had put a piece of lime green tape over it to keep it in place. Inside the fridge was dish soap, sponge and a few other items and the roll of lime green tape. You would think with all the lime green it would be glowing in the dark.....

Cesse did get the toaster and coffee pot, she will be calling me on Wednesday to let me know the status of the fridge, I dont think I will need the actual claim check, we do have the info off it, If I do I will let you know.

What size coffee filters should I bring? Will any of those premeasured "pod" type work in it?

How long does it take to defrost? Does that mean there's a freezer? Does anyone have the dimensions? Can a gallon jug of milk fit in it? Can you turn the freezer off and only use the fridge part?

How do I get the fridge ? How do I pass it on?

OK, this is the deal.

Ceese checked out today, and POP has not found our fridge.

It seems that POP doesnt actually run the luggage storage, it is contracted out to another company. The company that lost our fridge, wants the original receipt from when the fridge was bought as proof that the claim check we have was actually for a fridge ????

If we can provide that, I believe they will replace it. I have pmd Kellie, the original swap leader to see if she still has it. If she doesnt, Im not sure what we can do. Kim checks in tommorow, and hopefully she will have better news. I have asked her to call me and let me know if they found it or not.

I will let you know what I find out. If anyone has any suggestions I am all Ears.

We do still have our coffee pot and toaster. The coffee pot only takes the cone type of filters. Not sure how many will be left when you get there so you might want to bring some with you, as Goodings and POP did not have them.

If they don't find it, it seems our swap is kaput. That is, unless someone else wants to organize the purchase of another fridge for all of us "latter" swappers. I will be happy to contribute, but I work 2 jobs and have 2 kids, so I would not be the best personm to organize it. Just my .02

I have not heard from Kim, I got a pm from Heather, she will try to find the receipt but she is going away due to a family problem, hopefuly she will be able to find it when she gets back. I dont know what POP will do, I think if you press the issue they will try to work it out for you.

I don't know if this helps but if mrstomrice is unable to find the fridge I'd be happy to chip in for another and then we could continue the swap. LMK what is decided and who/where we should send money if that time comes.

Fran and all - sorry to hear the fridge has not been found. I did my darndest working w/ those guys in long term storage to try to find it. I even went back in the room to where they have the fridges-there were quite a few there, but none w/ the lime green tape on it. There was a roll of green tape in the bag w/ the coffee pot/toaster, so not sure if there were 2 rolls or the one that was left in the fridge got put in that bag by a later swapper.

I DEFINITELY suggest getting 2 separate claim tickets from now on (if it's found or you guys buy a new one) and be sure they write FRIDGE on the claim ticket stub. And I DID have to ask for it - when I dropped it off, the guy was like, "okay, that's all we need" and I said, "no, I need a claim check."

As for the coffee pot/filters: I brought the "pouch" kind. We only had one coffee drinker, so the first few days I only used one pouch to 4 cups of water and I guess it came out too weak. I think it's because of the shape of the filter thing being the cone shape. You have to be careful to make sure the coffee is evenly distributed when you put the pouch in. After that, I used 2 pouches; the first one takes up a lot of space in the bottom and then the next one lays flatter. Then I used about 6 cups of water. So if you want a full pot I would probabaly use 3-4 pouches. Plus, I had to hold the lever down on the toaster; it wouldn't stay in the down position - but it worked fine and we had bagels almost every morning.

Thanks Karina! Do I deal with this situation at long term storage or at the front desk...what is my plan of attack for getting our fridge or another? Thanks...probably overthinking this, but I don't want to spend all night with 2 young ones trying to figure it out. Plus, we have cold food being delivered that night. I will call Fran when I get it figured out.

Unless the fridge was out and out stolen , they must have given it to another swap by mistake. The lime green tape may help track it down if you cam email everyone who was picking up a fridge between the time or swapper left it and the next one couldn't get it.

Just a though, maybe I watch too much Monk yesterday.
