Moderates for 9/11 year olds

I am possibly going to stay at a Moderate if the FD rumors are true and they are only offered for Mods and up this winter. I figured a Mod with Free Dining is cheaper than a Value with OOP. Anyway if I do have to choose a Mod, I am wondering which works best for my kids age category. I have looked at quite a few posts with preferences between the mods but most that I have seen are couples or families with children age 5 and under. Can someone help? I have only stayed at ASMu, ASMo, and POP. If we do get FD at Value level, I am considering AoA for a new resort. How is that for this age group? Thanks!!

My 10 almost 11 year old loves PO French Quarter and on our next trip we are staying at Riverside at her request. She loves the theming at both and the pools. Plus she loves the food court at French Quarter she is not a big eater at all but loves their evening roast or chicken dinner.

Is the pool important? To me, FQ has the most juvenile (thing younger child) pool area. I think of the mods CSR has the best slide for older kids. It's long and quick and the pool is deeper than the others. Have you considered looking at you tube videos and seeing whatresort appeals to you and your family the most? Our favorite mod is CBR. We love the grounds and the main pool area. I think the food court is about average, nothing special. For food options, we like CSR the best. To us, all 4 resorts are lovely and there is not a bad choice.

We stayed at CBR when my kids were around those ages and they loved the pool! And the quick service options are not bad. It's a big resort so putting in a room request in a preferred area is a good idea!

I have been digging through the site but haven't seen many pix of POR pool area. The mansion pictures look great but none of the pool. The pix of the CBR pool look like a lot of fun. Is the pool area just as fun?
