Moderate with restaurant choices?

When we stayed at All Stars, the thing we really disliked was not having a sit down restaurant option and having to get on a bus to get anywhere for dinner.

Are there any Moderates that have better restaurant choices? Ones from which you can walk to other restaurants or resorts, etc? I am interested in POFQ but don't want to have to get on a bus for everything.

I've stayed in several deluxes but no moderates.

Coronado Springs and the RIVERSIDE section of the PO resort have restaurants. There used to be a restaurant in the FQ section of the PO resort but it was closed during the tourism slowdown following 9/11. No word on whether it will ever reopen or not.

Just to make a comment, I would love to see a restaurant like the French Market or Cafe Orleans from DL...with lots of atmosphere...added to the PO Resort where the Bonfamile's Restaurant used to be.

We enjoyed Shutter's at CBR. It was one of our best meals of the week.

Six of us found Shutters pretty good, but pricey for what we got. The dessert they made for my little nephew was a showstopper...a "sand castle" made of ice cream covered with cookie crumbs floating on a blue jello ocean with gummy sharks.

How I wish Port Orleans FQ still had the wonderful Bonfamilles. That was one of the best restaurants on property, and their breakfasts were even better than Kona Cafe (and I LOVE Kona Cafe!).

CSR has the Maya Grill and the Pepper Market. The Pepper Market is the the interactive food court where you can order food from different stations in a market atmosphere. The choices go from soup and a salad to a full steak dinner. Stations available are Mexican Kitchen, Wok Kitchen, Soup, Salads, & Sandwiches, Grill Station, Pizza Kitchen, Pasta Kitchen, Children's Kitchen, Beverage Station, and Bakery Counter. Give it a try.
