Moderate vs Dolphin (Swan & Dolphin)

Self-Parking (Registered Guest): $40 + tax per night. Resort Fee is $50 + tax per night.

Well that is pretty high! :faint: We always have a car so that’s always something we have to look at.

But at certain times of year, Disney resort prices are very high, also, so it still might make sense to do a Swan or Dolphin stay depending on price, even including the fees, taking all they offer into consideration, especially if one can get some of the discounts they offer.

Thanks!

Yes it is all about knowing the total costs that may include parking that plus any discount periods that are available at any period during the year.

It may be a good deal or not based on the total cost per day.

We absolutely love Swolphin! The location is amazing and the restaurants are some of the best on property. Comfortable beds, great staff, nice pool area. They even have room service! Even if the price is on par with a mod, I would choose it for location and the extra evening hour perks.

The thing that started pricing us out was the combined Resort and Parking fees, which can raise daily costs quite a bit.
If you're looking at prices on the Marriott app or website, the resort fee is included in the price that you see, so the only thing you would have to add in would be the parking fee, which is indeed hefty. I only stay there now when I don't have a car.

Convenience to Epcot and HS is great. Bus transportation is not nearly as nice since it doesn't drop with other Disney resorts like it used to. Not only does it go to TTC, but the Disney Springs drop is over where the local busses stop. At least last time I was there, there were no indicators as to when the next bus would arrive or pick up.

What do you think folks? If the price is about the same are you better off at AOA, CBR, or maybe Pop Century, or the Dolphin for a family stay at WDW? All opinions welcome..
We've done all and our stay at Swan made it clear we "need" to be in the bubble and as close as Swan/Dolphin is; it's not the bubble, so we'd prefer to stay pretty much anywhere else on property. Nothing is wrong with Swan/Dolphin and the location is great, but the whole time we were there we were missing the Disney ways/service etc.
