moderate/deluxe resorts

We are planning on going in 2009. Our kids will be 7yrs, 5yrs and 23 mos. Can you still have a single room with 5 in one family with the youngest being under 2 years old? We thought we might as well go right before he's 2 that way he's still free on a lot of things. Plus are the tickets to the park free for him? Thanks!

Yes you can have 5 in a room at certain resorts Contemporary is one of them all of the deluxe resorts. I think some of the moderate resorts you can as well just call and double check. You don't have to buy a ticket for your 2 year old it is 3 and older.

There is no fee/tickets for a 'baby' under 4 years old. Someone correct me if Im wrong. Under 2 was able to fly as a lap baby - no seat on the plane. And some of the resorts allow 4 people + baby in a crib and 5 people + baby in a crib.

if the baby still sleeps in a porta crib then i believe most of the moderates will work - but there is another option - po riverside has trundle beds which will allow five to be in the room - the trundle is short - so it must be for a kid - but it can work -

...this is incorrect. Children 3 and up need park tickets and count toward room occupancy as well as dining. Any resorts from value to deluxe will work for you if your 5th person is under three. The only mod that works after the 5th is 3 is POR. The deluxes, with the exception of WL and AKL allow 5 in a room.

With 4 + a baby under three you can stay in any hotel on site in one room, values, moderates and deluxes, as well as DVC properties.

Children under 2 can fly on a parent's lap. Not a good idea, however, since in an emergency stop, turbulence etc. the baby likely will go flying. Delta and certain other airlines will sell a seat to an under 2 for half price. That's what we always did with my niece. We buckled her car seat in the seat and strapped her in whenever the seat belt light was on.
