Mobile order & Disney giftcards

Has anyone been able to use Disney giftcards to pay for mobile orders? If so, how does it work? Can I enter a giftcard into MDE & will it save it?

You have to enter it (just the number - not the security code) EACH time you use it. It doesn't save it

Yes, but you'll have to make sure to choose that option on the payment page, and then input the gift card #, etc. We did this a few times. Our CC is stored, so that was automatically selected.

I apologize if this question takes the thread off topic but it seems to be a good place to ask. I'll be arriving on Tuesday and just went through the on line check in process. I was hoping to go ahead and set up the payment in Mobile Order screen also, so that I dont have to carry any cards gift, credit, or debit in with me. I dont see where I can do that ahead of time. I seem to remember last time I went and used Mobile Ordering even though I had a card on file I still had to enter the card information but after the first time I put it in the app stored the info. Can somebody refresh my memory? Am I just missing where and how to set up the card info for Mobile Ordering ahead of time?

The common solution is to save the GC number in a note on your phone and then copy and paste it into the Mobile Ordering screen.

If you are planning on just paying by the same credit card that you’ve entered into MDE for incidentals, it will automatically be there when you go to pay for mobile orders. Gift cards are the only thing that has to be manually added. Also if you charge things to your magic band and want to pay with a gift card, you have to go to the front desk and have them run the gift cards. You can’t do it by phone or on the website.
