Yes Verizon has an app that has the real wait times direct from Disney. The issue you may be having is that it only runs on a select number of non smartphones. So no iPhone, Droid ,blackberry or Windows phone.

Is it available for the blackberry, it's not advertised as such on the Disney site, but if you look in the Verizon Vcast Apps section of you blackberry it is located there (not in the Blackberry Apps section)

I'm not sure what Touring Plans lite is, but if its Lines without a subscription it really doesn't give you much info. Just wait times for a very select few attractions.
I have a droid and have Lines with a sub but I also have the Disney Wait Times App from Undercover Tourist. Its free and has all the attractions and it also has menus and maps.
We used it on dd's phone for our trip in Dec, dh and I couldn't use it due to us having smart phones.
It worked really well for us, several times it helped us decide which ride to ride and which ride to fast pass along with helping us determine if we should walk across the park for a fast pass (tells return time) or not based on our plans.
It was kinda slow though, which is why we didn't use it more often.
Oh, we used it also to find Marie. Younger dd really wanted Marie's autograph and we looked several times when we were in Epcot to see if she was out or not.
Nope, I have the app on my Verizon Bold 9650 up and running, like I said it does not show as available for the BB on the verizon site or on the Disney site, but if you run the Vcast Apps app on the BB, it is there under the Apps by Verizon category available for purchase for $1.99!

Just wanted to add that I have read another thread discussing BB and the Mobile Magic app and it is available for certain BB's and maybe the Droid Incredible.
I have that droid and tried to see if I could try to download it but I can't get into Vcast apps.
Its a company phone and I know that all apps that would be paid by putting it on the bill are blocked (by my decision) so I can't confirm it for that phone.
I wouldn't load it any way, I can load it on my son's phones.
I do have Lines with the subscription and the UT app on my Droid.
