My husband and I added a couple days at Disney to our Universal trip in October. I saw that there will be a MNSSHP on 10/4 and thought it would a good way to ride the attractions without long lines, especially since they let you in at 4pm.

Doing it this way would let us visit three parks instead of two, and MK would be closing at 7pm the day we could visit anyway. Also, we're not interested in trick or treating or meet and greets, but do want to view the parade and fireworks.

Has anyone else done MNSSHP like this, and does it sound like a good way to see MK attractions on a short trip?

Absolutely. This past October we did Universal for 2 days and managed to sneak in MNSSHP because Universal was closing early for their Halloween event. We showed up at 4PM and got our Disney fix. Since you're not there for meet & greets that'll give you plenty of time to hop on the rides and get a spot for the parade / preshow / fireworks.

And if you buy your ticket in advance and link it online, you can make 3 FP between 3:30 and 6:30. I did a solo trip in Sept, and the turnstiles opened about 3:45.

While we're on the topic of Fastpasses, if I use 3 Fastpasses at HS the same day as MNSSHP, would I still get 3 Fastpass choices between 3:30 and 6:30pm at MK? All of the tickets are linked through the same MDE account if that matters.

No, not if the MNSSHP tickets are linked to the same account.

There are folks who create extra people on their MDE or separate MDE accounts to get those extra FP, but I haven't ever tried that.
