We are planning on going to the party twice while we are there. Dh is 6.1 and a bit overweight, I am 5.1 and a lot overweight. Dd is no problem as we have I don't know how many costumes from Disney Store for her. What can we go as that isn't too elaborate and won't take up too much room in the suitcase?

We (me - 26, DH - 34, cousin - 23, cousin DH - 24) went this past October. We were not planning on dressing up but we ended up getting wigs, hats, boas, goofy sunglasses from one of the stores in Tomorrowland and had a blast!!!! We were not anything in particular but it was fun to dress up.

My daughter and I went as "Hippies". Very easy. I tie-dyed 2 t-shirts before we left. Went to Walmart and got some "hemp" chokers and pairs of square "granny" type sunglasses. I bought some trim in the domestics dept. and made headbands by sewing velcro on the back of the trim.

we are trying to get a family theme for this year...considering having costumes easy enough to get on on off rides. my DD wants to be tinkerbell, the other tigerlily, so maybe i will be wendy and DH captain hook...!!:p

Whatever you wear, make sure you can secure your costume when you go on rides. DD lost her witch's hat on Buzz! It flew off her head. DH and I usually wear Target Halloween tshirts and then kids are usually in Disney costume. I've seen a lot of everything. Just don't wear anything too scary or offensive(it states that on the tickets).

Does anyone have an idea for a costume for a 12 yr old young man who is feeling too old to go as Buzz LightYear? I think he'd like to wear a costume, but would be kind of self conscious about wearing a "little kids'" costume!

Any idea is appreciated!

How about a pirate, wizard, cap'n hook? Or a manchurian warrior? King Arthur? Ninja? If your DS had a DSi, a shepherd and Little Bo Peep, Wolf and Red Riding Hood. My friend dressed her twins as the prince and Cinderella. They were the talk of the ball!
