We're looking at dates for a quick get away. We could possibly do the first weekend in October. Do adults go to this party w/o kids? Or will we feel stupid? Everyone dress up? Am I gonna see all the cute kids and start crying cause mine aren't with us? What is the scoop? Good time to catch rides like E-night, or no?

Thanks!

I've never been to MNSSHP before, but will be going for the first time this year on 10/28, and I can tell you that I will be there with BF and we don't have kids. ;)

From what I've been reading on the MNSSHP thread at the top, while there are of course lots of kids, there are a number of adults with no children attending as well. Sounds like most kids will be dressed up, and adults are a mix of dressed up and not (we personally will not be dressed up, but we hope to buy a MNSSHP shirt while we're there).

I'm sure you'll have a good time!

We have gone the past 2 years alone and had a blast! We did not dress up, but I have a friend who has gone without her children and did dress up! This will be the 1st year the kids will go to it with us. We would go again alone with no second thoughts! Go and enjoy yourself, have a blast! We loved it.

I just ordered tickets today for 6 adults, myself included, and no kids (all our kids are grown; the youngest just starting college.) I haven't decided if I'm going to dress up yet or not. It will be our first time going, so I will wait until closer to time to decide. We are going on the 28th.

The last two times we attended MNSSHP (10/31 in both 2000 and 2002) DS (he was 2 in 2000 and 4 in 2002) fell asleep before the party and stayed with my parents in their room. We went and had a BLAST! It's a lot of fun for everyone.

Dh and I went last year and really had a good time. We did dress up, very simply - black shorts, white T-shirt with our dog's pic on it and the words Makai's Mom and Makai's Dad on them with some fake felt dog ears! Was enough costume but not too much - that's our taste. This year, I'm still undecided about going. I think I may go ahead and get tickets but not dress up. I know we'll have just as good a time. All the special decorations and events are great and it is fun to see others in their costumes. We even went trick or treating!! One thing to remember, last year it was rather warm, so if you decide to bring/wear a costume, check the weather and plan accordingly.

We went twice last year and had a great time! Trick or Treating as an adult, free picture, a cute parade and no lines on the attractions made for a wonderful night... I would suggest you go.

Definite for adults only groups! I went with a girlfriend, and we had a BLAST! We would go again if we could; along with MVMCP, it's one of my favorite things at WDW!

Ok, just got off the phone with MS at WDW and we've got tickets for 10/17. So, I guess we'll be going trick or treating with Mickey again!!!

My DH and I have gone to MNSSHP without the kids and loved it. I have a great picture of the wicked queen offering him an apple - he has a priceless look on his face! We did not trick or treat or dress up but we had a fantastic time riding rides with no lines and admiring costumes! They had a fortune teller there too - as my husband scoffed I sat down for a reading (I was pregnant at the time). I can't remember too much of what she said about me but I remember what she said about the baby - that he would grow up to be artistic and a bit high strung! Well, as I walked away I remember saying to my husband, "HIGH STRUNG? WHY DO YOU THINK SHE SAID THAT? Artistic would be good, but HIGH STRUNG?" Of course now I have become accustomed to that "when will self understanding sink in?" look he gave me. By the way and for what its worth, she was spot on in her assessment! Have a great time!:teeth:

I just booked PC for 10/2 thru the 5th. It is still pending hubby's work situation. I want to book the MNSSHP for the 3rd, but I have a feeling I should wait closer to time in case we have to cancel.

Will the party on the 3rd book up ya think? Or would we be safe waiting until closer to the trip?

Anyone know if I book now can I cancel and get a refund???

Also, instead of having tickets mailed, I can do will call? Where would I pick those up at?

Is this first weekend of this event crowed or less so? I'm hoping we can cram alot of "thrill rides" in since we won't have the kids with us.

Thanks!
