My husband is dying to get into this tradition... is it okay for adults to partake in the candy hunt? Are we going to get strange looks?

Also, should we take our own candy bag for trick or treating?

Thanks :worship:

I asked this same question just a few days ago ;)

What I was told that me and my DF will not be the only adult couple there TOT! So I would say go for it! Disney is all about being a kid again anyways :cloud9:

Go ahead and partake in the trick or treating! I plan too! Even bringing my own bag so I can get more candy because the one they give you I hear it kinda small. Enjoy!

When we walked in last year the CM handed my children a candy bag each and both my husband and I a candy bag. Every adult I saw there was getting candy. Paying $50+ for a ticket...get all the candy you want!;)

Don't worry. They'll give you more bags if you need them. We ended up taking a really, really big Disney bag (the ones they give you when you purchase things at DTD) to dump the smaller bags into, and hung the big bag on the back of the stroller. Only problem was when my son would get up out of his stroller, it would fall over backwards!:rotfl2:

Question- how does that work flying home with limits? I guess you would distrubute btwn bags. Can you put it in carryons too?

You need to be careful so you don't go over the bag weight limits.SO if you plan on doing alot of trick or treating or buying a lot of souveniers.Factor that into you bag weights.Honestly when we have gone to MNSSHP, the candy was not all that great( turns out of it is a hot night they do not give out much chocolate since it gets melty) ,so we got mostly smarties, sugar daddies, etc..Not stuff we really like all that much, so we didn't bring any of it home with us

We will be missing MNSSHP this year :sad1:. I can't even begin to count how many times we have attended the parties over the years. It's just DH and I...we ALWAYS trick-or-treat! It's fun running into characters along the routes and being giddy in line with other adults all reliving our childhood (that's what Disney is about right? :) ). Grab your bag andd have a great time!

We always trick or treat... haven't even thought about NOT doing it. We just paid a hefty price to get into the party... might as well take advantage of all they offer! :thumbsup2

Yep, adults can trick or treat as well! It was just DH and I and I thought we were going to feel silly. We ended up blending in really well as there were many adults, with kids and without, in the lines with us.

If you want you can end up with tons of candy. We each filled a bag and we didn't even try...we only hit about 10 stations early in the party. I can't imagine how much we would have walked away with if we were trying.

I did trick or treat and gave my candy to my kids later, but I confess I felt a little silly. No one made me feel that way, but I did!!!

Last year, my DH and I went through all the candy lines. No one gave us a second look, and we had a blast! Walked away with some pretty good candy, too! :teeth:

Last year when we walked through one of the stores, CMs were putting those large plastic "gemstones" in the Trick or Treat bags as well.

Soooooo Excited...this is my first Halloween party. Going for work (meetings all week = playing on Thurs) and can't wait! Thanks for the tip!!!:thumbsup2
