hi all:wave:
would you be so kind and post some tips(i'm sure you'll all know some)on touring while at this event::yes:: we are doing this for the first time this year and so looking forward to it:D i have been reading different threads on this but it's hard to keep track(well for me anyway:rolleyes: )when it's all spread out:D

also is it only liberty tree tavern that takes ps's or can you eat at crystal palace before the event

thank you so much eve::MinnieMo

I think both CP and LTT take PS. We have always eaten at LTT before the party. The characters are in costume as well and it adds to the fun.

As for tips - take a few minutes over dinner and check out the map they give you when you enter the park. Find the locations for the picture taking (they usually use the Hall of Presidents which is right by LTT).

The first parade usually has a higher attendance than the 2nd. First comes back to front, 2nd goes front to back.

The lines at the trick or treat stations can get long, but move fast (we usually avoid them as we don't have kids).

Take some time to just check out the little extras all around. The party is a great time! Enjoy

MNSSHP is a really fun event!

We made early PS for LTT and were able to enjoy a leisurely dinner before entering the park. We loved this dinner. The food was great, service was quick, and nothing on earth was cuter than Minnie Mouse in her ghost mask!!

They had alot of little extras set up, such as a Disc Jockey booth near Pirates of the Caribbean. The DJ played alot of fun songs, and Minnie & some of the other characters led kids in 'dance contests' and such. It was adorable.

As the previous poster suggested, the 2nd parade is much more manageable than the first. Grab a spot in a well-lit area and enjoy.

Get to MK early.

We've been admitted with MNSSHP tickets at 5pm, other DISers have confirmed that you can get in as early as 4:00 or 4:30.

Between 5:00 and 6:00 the park is clearing out and there are almost no lines! This past year we rode almost every ride in Fantasyland in that hour!

At 6:00 MNSSHP ticket holders are sent to Tomorrowland, where you can probably ride three or four more rides while the rest of the park is decorated for the party.

You MUST eat dinner at LTT - the characters look so cute, and the location is just very Halloweenish. Make your PS for this at the time you purchase the MNSSHP tickets - otherwise - you will be out of luck.

Also, watch the parade in Liberty Square and listen to the Legend of Sleepy Hollow - watch for the headless horseman.

Get your picture taken early and get it out of the way.

Make sure to get a good spot for the fireworks, as they are somewhat different from the "usual".

Make sure to ride the Haunted Mansion - there is just something different about riding it during this party - really gets you in the spirit - no pun intended.

It is a GREAT party - you will have so much fun!!!

3for Me ~ To make a PS for LTT during a MNSSHP, do I just call the same number I would for everyday PS? Can you really make a PS in April (or whenever the MNSSHP tickets become available) for a MNSSHP night? What is the best time to request a PS for?

Sorry I'm asking so many questions! This is our first time at a MNSSHP and I REALLY want to eat at LTT.

TIA for all your help!

We did this a couple of years ago and phoned for the tickets. You are charged in dollars but it appears in pounds on your statement. Ask to make your PS at the same time.
You will enjoy it - we (me 34 and my mum 70!) had a ball. And they will post your free photo to the UK for no extra charge.

We did MNSSHP on our last trip (10/26/03). A couple things which helped us....., was to skip the FREE picture stations as soon as your enter and go to the ones in the back of the park (see map for photo spots). We did this and there were virtually no lines. Don't worry about not getting enough candy (if you have kids), because near the end of the night they start giving you handfuls of bite-size candy in your bags (I thought my kids' eyes were going to pop out). We sat right in front facing the castle, and watched the headless horseman ride on by, and then we had an excellent view of the parade. The park practically emptied out after the parade, and we did many more rides and walked around afterwards. Have fun and enjoy !

Two words...Bug Spray!!!

We went to MNSSHP on 10/26- ate at LTT for a 5:15 PS. Was lots of fun and timing worked great. However, when we exited LTT at 6:30- just as the sun was setting- the mosquitos were terrible!!! Once it got completely dark, they seemed to go away.

Have fun!

hi

Great tips! We've been to MVMCP before and always bought the tickets online. Any ideas when MNSSHP goes on sale and what phone number to call? :scratchin

All we know is when they went on sale last year; April 30. You can call the main Disney number as if you want to get info or make a reservation. Also you can buy them online eventually.

We went last year for the first time and it was the highlight of out trip and not to be missed by anyone lucky enought to travel while it is going on...I received a lot of advise last year from these great disers and I will tell you what we ended up doing as it worked the best for us, take what you want and mix it up with other advise to make your night THE BEST!!!

We went over to the parks around 1pm after trying to sleep in and a little time in the pool in am...we had PS at crystal palace for their latest lunch (3pm maybe)..we counted this as our dinner...we caught some rides until the park "closed" for regular people we then changed in to our costumes which consisted of grass skirts over shorts, tank tps and leis for the girls and DH and I had on Hawaiin shirts already....I would definately suggest some type of costume, but it will still be quite warm and nothing too cumbersome to get on and off rides...

we were then approched as we neared the castle and given arm bands in exchange for seeing our tickets...sent to tomorrowland - even though my DH tried not to go there...he wanted to see how they would get us there if we did not just go and they really sweep the parks and shuffle people out effectively...tomorrowland was already hoping and handing out candy...we rode several rides while there waiting to be released...

...we went right to Small World for the free picture...no one else there yet...it is a good pic...then wandered from place to place doing rides with hardly any wait. Toon town was the only time we felt cramped and actually left as MANY kids trying to see Mickey etc, we knew we could catch them another day...Cinderellas coach is behind the castle and the girls loved it and her! Take time to notice how they get decorated so fast EVERYWHERE!

..we also caught the second parade, there were special fireworks before the second parade so we found a spot on Main St on the bridge by Caseys corner and stayed there until the parade...had another snack for "dinner"....lots of people left after this parade and then we had ALOT of fun...No WAIT at all on splash mountain and did it 3 times in a row...really cool at night!!! We stayed until midnight with a 4 and 7 yo DD they had a BLAST and tons of candy.....

ONE OF THE BEST TIMES OF OUR LIVES!!!

enjoy:wave:

Tigger we bought our tickets online (around June) we were advised that they would take 10 days but were here within the week-as security you have to sign for them-also they are hard plastic as opposed to the usual card. We're going again this year,it was a great night, although there isn't enough time to fit everything in (if you're doing the rides as well).I would leave the photo till later on as the queues were big early on.The "trick or treat" queues move fast.Everyone says that the second parade is quieter, all I can say to that is the first must've been very, very busy on our night!! The only place we found the bugs bad was at the toon town fair, waiting for Mickey & Minnie, this was also where we had too wait the longest-the queue area wasn't very well organised on our night so there were quite a few "jumpers".
You're better eating before the party starts as I mentioned earlier, there is a lot to fit in.You don't have to dress up but I think we're going to do it this time(let's face it you're not likely to meet anyone that knows you!!).Hopefully going to post some of our photos on the gallery so that will maybe give you an idea of what to expect!
