MNSSHP-Tips, Tricks, Secrets newbies should know (from the 2009 party!)

Question: we're going on 10/15, a Thursday night. How far in advance should we buy the tickets?

I'm sure you can buy them the day of. The dates right around Halloween would be the ones I'd be more scared of selling out.

If you buy the tickets ahead of time you get a $7 a ticket discount.

I love the Halloween bags! They were $2.50, right?

I bought my tickets a month ago for 9/22. I have heard that most dates people can buy day of. I was just paranoid- this is our very first trip, and I didn't want to chance it. I feel silly now though. :rotfl:

Here is a picture of the bag we purchased last year. I don't know if they will be the same this year.:confused3 Hopefully not. I think the bag was $3 but don't quote me on that! LOL

This bag was actually like $10 or $15 when we saw it for sale during our trip last September. We wanted to buy 3 of them but there was no way we were going to pay all that money & we just ended up using the free ones. I'm going to make them this year! :yay:

Your dd is adorable!!

WOW! Thats expensive!

We went to the party on October 19th. While the bag is really nice, there is no way I would of allowed my DW to spend $15 on that bag!!!!!

Maybe no one was buying them at that price and they had to get rid of them! LOL

I just asked DW if she remembers the price of the bag.... She said it was $5. So I was wrong........ what else is new?:confused3

Yea! Thanks laurainsem for posting this. I just ran out an picked two up about an hour ago. I had to ask for them as the Halloween stuff isn't supposed to be out yet at my store's location. This is why I love the DIS :yay: :grouphug: :thanks: :disrocks:

Your quite welcome! It's why I love the Disboards as well. You all have helped me so much, i'm just glad I had a little tip to finally share!!:thumbsup2

Subscribing! This thread has been sooo helpful! I'm (19) going with my parents on Sept. 22nd for our first party and am dressing up as Captain Jack Sparrow. :) Can't wait!!

Yes, they are $2.50. This is the regular price not a sale price. And I bought my tickets ages ago too. Peace of mind is what it's all about for me.

Here's a pic that show the bags and candy (sort of)
They're little plastic bags that actually hold a lot of candy...and the candy, well YUM! We had some Hershey's stuff in there, Sweet Tarts, Tootsie Pops, all kinds of goodiies!

I think it's a pretty nice mix. Some people have complained that it's too much taffy and lollipops, tootsie rolls, that type of thing, and not enough chocolate. Since the chocolate melts and we like assorted candies anyway, the mix is good for us.

Here is a picture of the candy we left the party with last year...

I know this sounds stupid, but can somebody tell me how to post pics on here? I have several from MNSSH last year I would love to share.

You would need to upload them to a place like photobucket and then copy the "IMG" code it gives you into your post on the DIS.

Just booked our trip for our first MNSSH. So EXcited, however it is only offered twice during the week we will be there. the second of the two nights is perfect as it is my granddaughter's birthday. How bad is bad if it rains. How bad would it be for them to cancel/ Want to buy the tickets now, but sort of SCARED! thanks to all for any insight:confused3

The CM I dealt with when I ordered our tickets said that the party would go rain or shine. I got the impression they would only cancel if it was monsoon conditions or maybe really bad lightening & it was a safety issue.
