WE are planning a trip Tuesday Sept 23- Saturday the 27th WE plan on doing MNSSHP - in the past I remember ride wait times being minimal during the party. I am debating to attend Tuesday or Friday night? I also wonder how crowded it would be to arrive at four? We are only buying the hard ticket for this day so we can't make fastpasses:(
Any Advice????

I would go to the Tuesday party over the Friday party, but both should have minimal waits for rides. We went to MNSSHP lady September and it wasn't that crowded at 4. Wait times drastically dropped once 7 hit though

I'm torn between a Friday or a Sunday party for my stay September 24-29. My FP+ opens tomorrow and I still haven't decided.

Friday night seems like it would be busier but we fly out on Monday super early and I'm worried about being too tired. I'm happy that this is my main concern in life.

For party nights, stereotypically, the Tuesdays are less crowded. Fridays bring in more locals, and people who have the weekends off.

I usually arrive as close to 4pm as I can, and do some non party themed stuff right then, it is crowded, especially because there's the day crowd & the party crowd, but it's a good time to see a character or two that's usually out during the day (ie, Tink, especially if your costumes relate to them) or ride a few rides.

Ride times are always minimal during parties, everyone's off doing halloween stuff instead! Not everything is open though, remember that!

So I keep wondering... you can arrive at 4 PM in a costume and walk around MK in costume from 4-7? Just don't want to be turned away...:hyper:

We did last year without any issues. We also saw other in costume prior to 7 pm.:cool1:

Tuesday will be less crowded than Friday for the party. 4pm-7pm will be more crowded than after 7pm, but it should clear out. Generally speaking, many people will avoid MK all together on scheduled party days since the park closes early and there's no evening entertainment, so crowd levels for the day should be relatively light regardless.

We are not going at exactly the same time, but I'm struggling with a Friday party over a Sunday night party. I'm hoping since our trips covers both nights, that I'll wait and see which night has the better weather prediction...and then buy the tickets. Since it's September, I'm also hoping for low crowds. We purposely scheduled a late flight out Monday so we could do the Sunday party.

With Food and Wine taking place the same weekend, we figured we'd do Food and Wine Thursday, and avoid EPCOT for the weekend so that would mean MK or a water park or maybe HS instead.

I don't think we have to worry about tickets selling out that early for MNSSHP so I'm just going to wait and hope I'm right about that! :)

pretty sure we are going on the 23rd- we were gonna drive down and go but I think we may just leave a day early No room at CSR though so possibly a All Star Resort for Monday night.

We are going to Epcot Thursday also - I cant wait to see Rick Springfield ( oops showing my age)

Are you sure you can not make fastpasses?

We are also going in September and we also have the hard tickets for the party, but when I linked it to my MDE it let me make fastpass selections for before 7PM.

We went on Friday, September 20, last year and almost felt like we had the park to ourselves after 4:00. That's all relative, obviously, but it definitely seemed like non-party people knew that it was about time to leave before the party mob arrived...plus the parties are never quite as crowded in September as when it gets closer to Halloween itself (we went the first time on Halloween night, and that was fun, but a mad-house). I'd guess that if you went on a Tuesday night (or a Sunday, for those asking about that), it would be even less crowded than on a Friday or Saturday.

As for doing it on a Sunday night before flying out early on a Monday, I can't think of a more fun way to finish off the vacation, even if you know the morning is coming early.

I would do Sunday. And it's worth it to wait and see about the weather. We did the same thing and bought our tickets the day before so we could still get the advanced purchase discount. We bought them through the concierge at our resort.

You can make FP+ selections for the day time but during the party, after 7pm, FP+ is not used.

The party on the last Friday in September has sold out the last few years. I think it's the last party that has a CM discount. I would try to go on Tuesday.

We are planning the same thing. My message to the rest of our group (my husband and in-laws) was that Thursday night was going to be all about Food and Wine and Jessie's Girl! :) :rotfl:
