MNSSHP replaced by After Hours Event "Boo Bash"

Lets see what seaworld and universal do with their parties before making that blanket statement.

Seaworld admissions and annual passes has gone up a lot and far less deals. Use to be so easy to go to Seaworld and Aquatica cheap. Seaworld doesn't really have parties you pay extra for.

2021 Fun Card (which includes every Halloween extra activity date) is $113.99 for Sea World - it will also include every Christmas event, except those on Nov 26, Dec 27 and Dec 31...

Enough guys - let's get this thread back to they party, the details, who's going, and what they're wearing.

Got myself a Kevin hat, shirt, blue shorts, and some fun socks for the bash! I LOVE Etsy lol. Honestly an after-hours event in MK for my trip in August is going to be perfect!

I did. I've always hated the money grabs. I think it's lame that Disney is becoming a playground for the rich. Call me bitter for being priced out I guess. I've been a huge huge fan for 30 years, making at least one or two trips a year. First it was the perks of having an annual pass cut almost to nothing. Then it was that I had to start staying off property. As of the last few years, I've had to start trying cruises and even flying to other countries because of all of the price hikes at WDW. Yes, it's far cheaper to go to Europe for a week than it is to spend a weekend driving to Disney. That's just sad. I'm sure there are a ton of people out there with more money than I, but it sure sucks for those of us who have supported Disney all our lives, to be weeded out.

Nothing about what Disney is doing says 'playground for the rich' Playgrounds for the rich like Vail CO and Jackson Hole, Martha's Vinyard, the private side of Miami Beach etc provide VALUE for the dollars spent because no one like old money rich knows the value of a dollar better.

Disney OTOH wants to become a 'once in a lifetime trip' where you are not thinking about the amount of money you are spending or the quality of the product. They want Joe Average to take a HELOC and do a once in a lifetime trip, They also want the 'new money' from overseas once again a guest who will spend without thinking about it.

What Disney does NOT want is repeat customers, DVC is a corner case because DVC provides free funding for hotel construction and maintenance. But what are they going to do with DVC long term because they want their up front money but not their member fee funded stays.

I expect some carefully lawyered change which pries the DVC members out of their valuable villas and into non-Disney accomodations and still allows Disney to collect member fees.

Our costumes are more Disney bounding style (sundress and leggings). I am going as Bo Peep, my eldest as one of the aliens, and my youngest as Buzz. There was talk of us bringing along Woody, Rex, and another toy to round out the gang. There are 2 dates during our trip. We will get whatever we can on Tuesday. So pumped!

Anyone have any guesses what the phone wait times will be like on Tuesday since it seems that resort guests don’t have the option to buy tickets online for the pre-sale?

I’m on the West coast so I’d have to get up at 4am to call when the lines open at 7 EST (eek!), and I have to leave for work around 8 that morning so I don’t want to call too late, depending on hold times... our event date would be a Tuesday in mid October so it’s probably a low risk of selling out immediately, but on the other hand, who knows with 50th crowds. Not sure if it’s worth the early wake up or if I should wait to call later and chance it... What have long hold times historically been for other special event ticket releases?

I just sent an email to our TA to see if she has any information. I’m hoping she can buy the tickets for us (with a first and a second date ‘choice’). I’ll post when/if I hear back from her.

This is definitely a situation where it would come in handy to have a TA! Thanks for sharing any info you can get :-)

I thought I heard something on FB that someone texted CM via the app and they said there would be online options on Tuesday. Maybe we need to restart last summer’s unofficial squad of people who text chat the same question so we can get an answer consensus…worked well when park reservations launched.

posting here too, maybe you guys can help! :D

Still up in the air, but we weren't going to go to Boo Bash because I think it's too much money, but my brother wants to go and will spring for one of our tickets and I'll buy the other (3 of us total). I am the one who has everyone linked to me on MDE.
If he wanted to buy two of the tickets, can he? Or do I need his credit card info to buy tickets for us and him?

And do we do this over the phone on Tuesday? (got an email for resort guests)

I want to wait and see what park hours are for other days, because if other day open until 10 or 11, I don't think we need to do the party, but how fast do you think the second to last Friday in October would sell out?

I emailed dvc and they just wrote me back that they are still determining if 6/8 will have an online option

I just did a chat as well, to see if info stayed consistent. I was told by phone only, no online option, opens at 7am for the presale.
