Hi, i am thinking of going to MNSSHP this year, has anyone beeN? What did you think? On the other boards it says that you get a free picture taken and they will send it to you. Will they send the picture to the UK aswell? Or is there a charge?
I read that there are ques to get for the photo to be taken and if we do go i don't want to spend time if we won't be alowed to have it!

Hi Stal

We went in 2001 and the transformation of the park is incredible. We had our picture taken outside Its A Small World and we didn't have to queue (but bear in mind we were there just after 9/11) and our pic was delivered a couple of weeks after our return home at no extra charge.

I would recommend this to anyone - the fireworks are shown as a 360 degree display and apparantly the only time you can see this is either MNSSHP or MVMCP.

The parade was excellent, our kids had great fun dressing up (we chickened out) the whole evening was a great success.

If you have children who are dressed up you are invited to take part in a parade that starts in Fantasyland - head straight there on your arrival.

I hope you have fun!

Yes, I'd second that!! We are just two old souls and we loved it last year with no kids!! This Oct we are going again and taking our little girl (now 19 yrs!!) with us and she is going to dress up as Tigger. I suspect it will be a rather understated Tigger, but we will see.

You get lots of free candy, don't be embarrased to collect it. The fireworks are great and in our experience the queues are minimal.

We had our photo taken at the station by Pirates and we had no wait at all. It arrived about two weeks later, no charge.

A great evening...go!

GO GO GO

It is so worth a visit. We did it for the first time last year and loved it so much we're back again this October, our MNSSHP tickets have just been delivered from Disney (order direct before and you get discount on gate price on the day:) ).

It is a brilliant evening. We thought we'd probably just putter along to have a nosey for a couple of hours - but ended up being kicked out of the park on closing at midnight;)

The atmosphere is fantastic - we enjoyed it just as much as our DD (then 9). You can pick up some great costumes from WalMart really cheap. Katie went as a 50s style diner waitress - the whole outfit cost $15!! She's used is so many times again over here.

MNSSHP was the only time we visited MK during our trip and it was worthwhile because we didn't have to queue for hardly any rides - including Peter Pan which was unheard of in our books. The only one we didn't get to go on was Haunted Mansion as our timing was poor as something had just kicked out next door and hundreds of people made a dash for HM. Oh well, straight there this year:Pinkbounc

As for the fireworks, we went straight for the Headless Horseman parade (great fun) onto BTMM and watched the fireworks while thundering around on the train - you can't get much more awesome than that in my book, absolutely magical evening.

The queues for the photos were longish, but seemed to move pretty quick. I regret not having ours taken, but it was one of those times when you keep thinking we'll go back to have one done later - and later never came!

Thanks you guys ~ I can't wait to go now!!!!!!!
