I have read that Friday night MNSSHP parties can get a bit crowded because local folks usually attend on those nights.

During our stay, it looks like we can choose from a Friday, the Monday night before Halloween or Halloween night itself.

I am ruling out Halloween night because I am quite sure it will be the most popular.
That leaves Friday or Monday the night before Halloween.....

Opinions??

Also, how much are the MNSSHP tickets, and where do we call to order them?CRO?
I assume they send us the hard tickets in the mail?

I would definitely go on the Monday. I've been there on a sold out Halloween night. It was really crowded, but still fun. didn't do many rides, but had lots of fun people watching and Trick or treating. Some of the costumes are fantastic. You're right, locals tend to go on weekends, so they don't have to worry about going to work the next day. If you have kids, Monday would be less overwhelming, I think. Have Fun!!!

Thanks lamchop!
Thats kind of what I was thinking, but wanted to get a few responses from those of you who have attended MNSSHP before :thumbsup2

I would definitely recommend the Monday night option! We have been on a Tuesday night, a Sunday night and a Friday night. The Friday night (this past Sept 2005) was FAR more crowded than the other times we had been!!! I decided at that time that in the future I would plan to attend another night of the week. Have FUN! :wizard:

Hey TooBoyz4Us.....we are looking at the exact same dates. I have done several searchs on Halloween, and it seems that most people say that the parade (Main Street), trick or treat stations, and photo areas are swamped on Halloween, but the ride lines are not bad. We were there last year during Columbus day week. We attended MNSSHP on a Thursday night and I thought that it was pretty busy from 8-10. I have no idea what a "sell-out" would feel like. I wonder how many tickets are sold. Where are you staying?

We have gone to MNSSHP for the past 5 years. Weekday is a definate. Tickets can be purchased directly through Disney (I don't think they are on sale yet). I only opted to have them send me the tickets our first year. After that I learned it was much easier to do a WILL CALL. They hold on to the tickets there and you pick them up any time/day before you go to the party. That assured me they would not get lost. They used to do will call at MK, but last year they started doing will call at your resort (if you are staying on site). I hope they will be doing that again this year...it was much more convenient. If you do have to pick up tickets at MK, you will need to bring ID and confirmation #.

Cost....I can't remember exactly how much per ticket...but I can tell you that we paid $141.46 last year for 3 adults and 1 child. The price has gone up each year.

Have fun!! :hmghost:

Same dates here....we were planning to go on Sunday the 29th but now that it looks like the parties will no longer be held on Sunday nights, we're trying to come up with another plan.

Aside from Friday Oct. 27 and Monday Oct. 30, our other option is Thursday Oct. 28 (the night we arrive). Anybody think that there will be much difference between Thursday and Monday as far as crowds?
