We did it 2014 and had great time but

We aren't interested in the characters at all
We aren't interested in sweets collections (at 250 usd at least cost for 3, not great use of time and money)
Not interested in fireworks
Loved the low waits but mainly did Big Thunder Mountain and that's due to be closed.
We didn't dress up that much apart from DS did but I felt people that did really contribute to the fun of the show - and it's unclear how the new rules will be implemented
We loved the parade, but people report from last year that there were many people without tickets in the park and this contribute to the busy feel of it
I would love the dance parties - DS and DH not so much. Not at all actually

I am thinking of not booking it for now. If the situation with thunder mountain changes again I may reconsider. We are going the last week of October and it is possible the dates to be sold out.

If you plan to go to WDW at this time of the year, will you do MNSSHP? I am just not sure it's worth it for a parade. I am in two minds this time and thinking may be give it a miss. We will have 14 day park hopper tickets, many opportunities to visit the park. confused.

I loved it last year it was so much fun that I am hopefully going this year, but you have to decide if you want to go I loved the parade the fire works the atmosphere ( I did get some candy not a lot) I did not dress up I did not do a lot of rides ( maybe 3) I did a few meet a greets ( maybe 3) but I still had a great time and wow the parade was great

We had a great time last year. The CMs were checking bands the whole night. We only saw 1 or two characters and just really enjoyed the evening.

It sounds like from your usage of the party that it's not a "must do" so I would save the money.

Been doing 2 per trip for a decade and will say last year noticeably more crowded with longer ride lines than other years. We believe they upped ticket sales. We are HUGE fans but leaning towards just one party.

I agree - we did 2 parties last year and was underwhelmed by it. We prefer 1 party per trip. And your right, the crowds were a lot higher than prior years. But we like the parade and castle shows and fireworks!

We are skipping it this year. There have been some visits when we did it twice, but those were the days when it was $35.00 pp. Now at $65 or higher, it is just not worth it. Larger crowds, and while the parade and fireworks are fun, they are not worth the $130.00 it would costs us. And I could buy a LOT of candy for $130.00!

I have always loved the halloween party but we will not be going this year after our experience last year. It was busier than any normal day I've ever been to MK and we spent 3 hours holding our spot for the parade. We barely got to ride anything because waits were so long. We met no characters for the same reason.
