MNSSHP - Is it okay to wear masks?

I posted another thread about what my family will be wearing.

My DS (4) being Darth Vadar and me being Princess Leia. DH is going to be a Storm trooper with a mask. I was asking if he could just wear white t-shirt/black shorts with mask.

Someone said you are "not allowed" to wear masks. Is that true? Both DH and DS will have masks for their costumes. I'm not sure how long DS will last with it on anyway, but his costume is Darth Vadar.

Will it be okay? Will we be told we can't wear them? Should I scramble to come up with something else? We are going on 9/30!

Last year my DS was the scream guy and wore a mask without any problems. I don't know if it's something new for this year.

we were there one night and saw a storm trooper. He was asked to remove his helmet. It's one thing if it's a "mask." It's another thing if it's a helmet mask that completely covers his head.

Disney has a real problem with masks that limit your ability to see everything that's going on around you.

I was wondering this as well, we are going on the 6th. IIRC there was something about no masks or "obviously violent" costumes and weapons - (don't quote me!) in the information I received with last years tickets.

I don't have my tickets for this years party as I just had them held at will call so I can't check. Perhaps if anyone has the literature that came with the tickets they could post for those considering wearing a mask.

I guess I will plan an alternative just in case.

You didn't find that on another website. You found that on the thread below about toy weapons.
I know, I typed this out by hand. It's mine because I didn't leave a space between one of the -- and one of the rules. I looked at my paper from the tickets and typed as I read it.

No big deal, but you just copied and pasted it from something I typed out myself for the thread about toys weapons. It wasn't from another site.

Very, Very sorry I will delete it - I honestly thought I was reading somewhere else, and just trying to help the OP. I did try and make it obvious that it was a quote and not my information. FWIW - thanks for the information.
