We are headed to MNSSHP on Oct 16. Is it a big deal to arrive at 7pm or after?? I see everyone talking about wanting to get in earlier.
We plan to stay the whole time, so anyone have opinions on this who has done it? Thank you! :)

There are many people who arrive at 7:00p - official party start time. Last year I noticed many arriving even later.

I think the only draw back may be if you really want to see the first parade as they start lining up for it ASAP.

It depends on what you priorities are. Trick or treating or rides etc. When we were there, getting through the doors and up main street right at 7 was kind of hairy. But we noticed about 10 after the first parade etc. was over the park really cleared out. But I believe the trick or treating stops after a while, so you may miss that if you go late. I could be totally wrong about that though. Maybe someone else would know more. All the people with little ones left early, there was hardly any lines for anything!!! It was GREAT!!!! It is such a fun night!!!

We will be there the 24th!!! YIPPEE!
Have fun!!!

As far as I know, Trick or Treating goes till the end of the party. I've heard reports of people late at night when the park clears out getting boat loads of candy from the CM's!

Have fun!

Can someone please tell me if we need to bring our own trick or treat bags for the candy, or will they provided them?

When you go through the turnstile and give them your MNSSHP tickets, they will give you trick or treat bags. They are orange plastic bags with handles. I believe they have a picture of the pumpkin Mickey and say "Mickey's Not so Scary Hallween Party" on them.

They are cute and a good souvenir. Some people still bring their own though.

Enjoy!

I'm not staying on site & just going for the party. Will I be held at the turnstiles until 7pm? Also, what is transportation like at the end of the party?

They will definitely let you in significantly earlier than 7pm, even with just hard tickets. However, we have been on Ultimate Park Hoppers past 2 years (and again this coming Oct 16), so we take a nap, enter the park about 4:30pm, eat dinner, then find a CM with wristbands about 6pm. At that point, the "day guests" are no longer allowed to board the rides. So, between 6-7pm, we simply jump from ride-to-ride with little or no waits. Finally, we stay till midnight - watching the later parade and the show at the castle (Cinderella's Surprise - I think there was a late show after the fireworks). They were still doing trick-or-treating at midnight past two years. DD5 had no trouble going strong till midnight (with the nap).

Do you guys know about the limited pins that are available in the park thta night? Is there somewhere special you need to go to get them? PLEASE fill me in on the scoop! I am a pin collector and understand that there are special MNSSHP pins avaible- buand I really want them- but I don't know how to get them!

Will counter service be open that night??? The restaurants?? What are their schedule. MK shows a close time for 10/16 of 6 pm. Do the restaurants close then?? First time for us. Can't wait.

W got supper at Liberty Tree at 6:10 the night of our MNSSHP. Is there anything special we need to do to get the bags or the maps with the time on them. Or do they taker care of that at the Liberty Tree. This will be my first year at the party and don't want to miss a thing.

Depends on when you will be arriving at the gate. If you get to the park just before 6pm, they will give you the bags and map (and wristbands) as you enter. If you've already been in the park for a few hours (or more), then you'll easily find CM's giving out the bags, maps and wristbands around the park after 6pm.
