Halloween Party in the Rain? My friends are there today and have tickets for tonight's party. The hourly forecast has thunderstorms showing up from 6-8pm, then the forecast gets a slight bit better. Do y'all think that might stop the first parade? They are going to be so bummed if it does, Sunday's Fantasy parade was rained out and their kids are little (4/2) so doubtful to last to the second parade. Thoughts? do the special characters keep meeting? do they move under shelter?

If it's raining they'll cancel the parade but if it stops they'll do the second parade. The one year I went it started pouring and they canceled it and my son started bawling (he was sick) so we just left by the time we reached the outside of the park it stopped raining and I could hear the music. (That's my luck lol)

So really it's touch and go. The characters won't come out in the rain but there's a lot inside I'm not sure if they move characters inside or not. Hopefully someone will answer you about that but as far as the parade goes there is no way to tell until right before the parades start.

One time back in 2002 at the party the lightening and rain were so bad the parade and fireworks were cancelled. They were issuing refunds or giving tickets for another night. The other years I've been there was no rain. It was 80% chance of rain last night and not a drop, you never know in florida

Entirely possible for it to cancel the first parade.

We went in 2010 and it POURED from 2:30-5p. BFF was in EP at Les Chefs and it was coming down so hard she couldn't see SE across the lagoon.

It stopped and cleared up by 6p but they did cancel the first parade. Second parade and fireworks went off without issue.

If the rain isn't bad, the parade will go on but the headless horseman may not ride.

Both times we've been the first parade has been cancelled but not the second one. I'm half convinced they schedule two just for that reason.

Also both times our young kids made it through to the very end of the party.

We were there on a rainy night 2 years ago. The rain stopped literally minutes before the parade was scheduled and they held it, but it was questionable up until then. It poured again after the parade so we left before fireworks would have happened anyway. We're doing it again this year and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for no rain, I'd really like to see those darn fireworks!

We were there last year and the first parade was rained out. They ended up doing the fireworks through a light drizzle and then the second parade was held through the same. As others have mentioned though, the Headless Horseman didn't ride through the street beforehand due to the wet conditions.

We were at a party where it started raining heavily right at 7:00. We had just finished meeting Rapunzel in TST, so we donned ponchos and made our way over to Pirates. Rode, then thought we'd hit the treat spot in Tortuga Tavern, only to find Captain Jack meeting under the porch. He took lots of time with each family, and once we were finished, it had stopped. Not sure if the same thing happened in other locations, but I assume it likely. No horseman for either parade that night. Fingers crossed for this year!!!!!

Well, she said its been wet but they've had fun anyway, and still going strong! Guess taking this morning off from everything but swimming at the resort was good for the lil ones!
