We are going to WDW from Oct.17-Oct.27 with 5 adults...dh49, me50, dd20, dd21, ds23. Would the MNSSHP be worth the money for us? We already have a 5 day hopper to WDW, 1day Universal Studios, 1 day Sea World, 1 day Kennedy Space Center and of course the final full day to shop at as many malls as our feet can take us to. Will we have the time and stamina for MNSSHP on Oct. 20? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :thewave:

If I didn't have a DD I would just go for the experience. I think it's mostly for children anyway with the whole trick or treating thing. But it would be nice to see the special parades and the headless horesman. Hmmmm...I'd check with the rest of my group and decide it that way.

I might be down in Orlando with my DH this October and, if so, we plan to go to Universal's Halloween Horror Night. It's a bit more grown up (ok, a lot lol) than the MNSSHP. I may also go down later in the month with my 4yo and would then do the party at MK. The HHN sounds like a fun, scary adventure, which is just my kind of thing.

It depends on what you like. I went with some friends last year (all in our 20s) and we had an absolute blast! We dressed up, went trick or treating at every station, danced, watched the parade, met characters, watched the fireworks. If you are a kid at heart you will loooooove this. How often does an adult get to wear a costume at WDW?

I'm hoping to go to MNSSHP on the 20th as well- that's my birthday. :)

Hehe my birthday is a few days later and I'm also going to be at MNSSHP for it. :)

As to the original question, although this will be my first time, I can tell you that I'm not so much going for the theming or the parade (which I am sure will be nice), I am going for THE RIDES...From everyone I have spoken to, as long as you aren't going on Halloween night (or the MNSSHP right before) the lines for rides is non-existant (i.e. 5 mins or less).

I think of it as a super-E-ticket night with a Halloween twist (although I believe unlike e-ride nights virtually all attractions are open). It's especially cool if you do it on your first night - that way you can just buy the ticket and not have to waste a hopper day.

Good luck, and hope to see you there!

Thanks everyone for your thoughts.
We thought about going to HHN at Universal (especially now since both parks and not just IOA will be involved), but one DD is petrified of walk thru haunted houses.
We took a vote and decided to wait until we get there. If we do go it will be on Wed. Oct. 20 and I've read on this board most dates are not sell outs. Thanks again everyone!!
