As MNSSHP virgins, and being from UK, what is the dress for this? I've read fancy dress, but is it fancy dress related to halloween, e.g. witches, wizards etc. or anything? Is it just for kids or grown up too?

It is a fun event and you can wear pretty much anything you want.
We all dressed up in costume (legolas the elf from Lord of the Rings, and Happy of the 7 dwarves) my husband was a hockey player and I wore black halloween colors.
We have been the last 3 years and have seen people wearing full costumes and people without costume....No worries.
Have fun!

We went in 2001 and both wore Halloween T-shirts and sorcerer Mickey/princess Minnie hats that we bought in the park. We did see many adults in actual costumes though. For some reason, we saw a lot of people in 101 Dalmatians costumes!

We went on 10/25 and it was very hot! I wore a cape I had sewn for my random fairy godmother costume, but a t-shirt and shorts. DH wore a t-shirt that said "costume," and DS wore regular clothing. Remember that you may be climbing in and out of rides. When we received our tickets by mail, the letter included some advice about nothing that drags on the ground.

I is a great event. We will be there again with DS, DD(playing a little hooky from college) and DH. No costume themes yet.

I say go for it!!!!!!! We went last year (8 of us!) we all had wonderful outfits that we had gotten at the Disney store and also some that my mom made. We (adults especially) had so much fun getting dressed up and got so many comments from cast members! WE were:

cruiella de vil
tinkerbell
ariel
snow white
pirate
Jack (from the nightmare before Christmas)
Robin hood
Peter Pan

It was no problem getting in and out of the rides with our costumes--you will have so much fun!
(look under ivyandlace under trip reports for our trip report last year when we went to MNSSHP!!)

pixiechick!

You can choose to either dress up in Halloween outfits or not. Up to you. Many people just stay in the park until time for the party and just go as they are. We went in October 2002 and dressed up - It was SO much fun.

I will wear a T shirt and shorts and if asked
about my costume.
My reply will be :
I am 8 years old, and I am dressed as
a 53 year old bald headed fat man. :)
