I just realized that I decided on our MK day and it has the MNSSHP that day... I don't really plan on going (is it worth it? Christmas party-tier?).

Is it a bad idea? Should I change it? I just managed to get a Crystal Palace breakfast reservation too ): And have reservations for the Whispering Canyon on that day (I know it's not on MK but I chose it because it's nearby).

And it would mess up all my other plans from the other days if I changed it... I completely forgot about this ;_____;

Please help ):

What does "Christmas party-tier" mean? If you asking about how MNSSHP compares to MVMCP, it depends. I really like Halloween and MNSSHP is one of my favorite events at WDW. The parade is outstanding and the fireworks are great. There are lots of other activities during the party. Whenever I'm in WDW during the Halloween period, I try to go to two MNSSHPs.

As long as you know the MK will "close" to you at 7:00 pm (when the party starts) and you're okay with that, then I see no reason not to go to MK that day, especially if you have your ADRs all set-up. I've gone to MK in the morning and afternoon and then headed out to dinner when MNSSHP started and never felt like I was being short-changed on my MK day.

In my country halloween is not super popular like the in the US, so I'm not really sure if it'll appeal to me (or my sister), and it's expensive ):

Wait, 7? I thought it was around 4... Oops. (/□\*)・゜

4:00 PM is when the party-only guests may enter, but non-party guests do not have to leave until 7:00 PM which is when the party begins. The 4 to 7 timeframe is really just some bonus hours for those with MNSSHP tickets.

I LOVE MNSSHP, but if you are not big on Halloween, then you could just as well skip it. THe nice thing is that on party days, MK is less busy as peopel who don't want to leave so early just do toher parks that day.

Party-goers start arriving at 4:00p, all regular day guests must be leaving by 7:00p.

If you are not interested in the normal nighttime activities such as the fireworks or parade then it is a terrific day to go--crowds should be relatively light during the day. If this day is your only chance for fireworks or nighttime parade and you must do it, then you will need to switch things around.

If you don't plan to attend the party, going to MK on a "party day" is a surprisingly good strategy. Because lots of people avoid going to MK on party days because of the earlier closing time - they feel like they're not maximizing their time at MK if the park closes early.

Well, in an important way, the opposite is true! Because so many people avoid MK on party days, crowds are low and lines for the attractions tend to be pretty short!

Regarding whether or not to attend the party itself, that's up to you. I've been three times, and definitely enjoyed myself. But it does cost extra to attend the party (upwards of $70, I think), so you'll need to decide if it's worth it to you. They do have a really cool parade, plus some special events like dance parties, trick-or-treating, special character meet-and-greets, that are not available to anyone not attending the party. If you can afford it, I'd recommend it!

Thank you so much everyone for the replies! That was FAST haha, I'm so used to super slow boards

We are doing two days for MK, the 11th and the 16th. It was supposed to be only the 16th, but the thought of not seeing wishes makes me wanna cry.

If I was the one paying for this trip I probably would go, I'm all for anything special and Disney related, but since it's a bday gift from my parents, I feel bad for asking anything else from them haha

Do people dress up on party days even if they are not going to the party? Or it would be silly to do so?

No, not normally. You will notice guests in costumes increase dramatically after 4:00p.

We have been to MK during the day when it was MNSSHP that night. The crowds were light except for exiting the park. Everyone was lining up for the parade and it crowded Main St.

I enjoyed seeing everyone dress up. Some of the costumes worn by guests were very good. My youngest was a little scared.

Overall, I think it is a very good strategy to make it your park day with MNSSHP at night. It favors those who rope drop and have young kids/grandparents/parents who end their park day at 7.

GO GO GO. go to the patties it is the most fun I ever had in disney. dress up meet charters that are never out. a great castle show, a great parade, and great fireworks. it is 100% better then the Christmas party for sure

-It's a GREAT day to go to MK, as the crowd levels will be low as there is no MSEP, wishes or the like that evening, stick with MK on that day for that reason alone. Park hop back to MK another evening to see the regular evening fun!

-CP breakfast & WCC dinner are two of my favourites! I wouldn't skip either of them, they've both great food, great service and amazing interactions in both places.

-Now, the Party itself? IMO is WAY superior to Xmas, the decorations are great, the characters out are similar to mvmcp, but there are more villains around. Instead of cookies, you get a TON of candy, the stage show is fun, and more villains to meet, while the fireworks & the parade are easily my favourite and definitely top notch when it comes to parades & fireworks.

The party gives you the chance to dress up, and experience something new and super fun, if you think it will be worth the cost (ie, kids will stay up for it, won't be scared by the "spookieness" of it, then yes, definitely go! I would advise renting a locker at MK and putting your costumes in it, and change on your way back from dinner.

Don't stress about changing it if you don't do the party, keep everything the same, leave for dinner at WCC and then watch the fireworks from the Poly beach or something and call it a night!:hippie:
