MNSSHP Dates & Annual Pass Question?

We're thinking of going on Friday, October 17th. How crowded is this weekend supposed to be- if we had an extra person in our party short notice would she be able to get a ticket the day of from guest services, or would it probably be sold out?

Also, is this day an Annual Pass discount day? The website won't let us see the days because 3 out of 4 of ours have recently expired, but we may renew them. Thanks in advance!
