I know it's kinda early to be thinking about costumes for the normal trick or treater BUT I have been thinking about it alot for MNSSHP!! :clown:

We are 10 people are are all going as Yankee players.

Anyone else?

We went on October 7th for an all girls weekend, there were 6 of us, and had a great time and are going back this year. I plan on being the "Redhead" from Pirates of the Caribbean (but I need to get a good picture of her to make the costume) and my dd is not sure what she wants to be yet (she was the Corpse Bride this past MNSSHP) I love Halloween, its my favorite holiday. This year my dh and ds will be going to the party with us but I don't know if I can get them into costumes!

this is our 3rd MNSSHP and the 1st time the adults will dress up, we are 4 adults, 2 20yo's, 3 kids and 1 baby.

HI call me crazy , My dear son asks for one thing for Xmas last year ,

a BRER RABBIT CUSTUME, JUST MADE FOR HIM ;)

AND YOU KNOW WHAT, :thumbsup2 HE WILL BE FOR MNSSHP

BRER RABBITT :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
he is so happy :goodvibes and so am I
OUR FIRST TRIP FOR THE MNSSHP

TAKE CARE

I have been searching since Halloween ended last year on Ebay for a Jasmine costume for my dd. She wants to be Jasmine so badly. If I can loose the weight and get in shape, I am going to be Jeanie from I Dream of Jeanie. I think that will be cute for the 2 of us. DH wants ds to be Buzz. I think it would be cool if dh was Woody, but he probably wouldn't dress up if you paid him to!

Just out of curiousity - did the tickets for MNSSHP go on sale yet? I am planning a trip for 9-29 - 10-5 and have not seen them go on sale yet. Thanks for the help!

We're going in October too. I saw a beautiful Alice In Wonderful costume a few days ago on special offer and I couldn't resist. So my girl who'll be 2 and a half by October will be going as Alice :goodvibes Here's the very one....

Oh yeah!! I have been thinking of starting this same thread for over a week and just hadn't gotten up the nerve yet. I figured that once Feb came around it would be fair fame. :D

DD (3yo) and I will be doing our first MNSSHP this year and I can't wait! We keep talking about costumes, but the list keeps getting longer rather than shorter. I really want us to be coordinating. So far we have...

Peter Pan and Capt. Hook (with her TinkerBell Bear too)
Cinderella and Fairy Godmother)
Piglet and Pooh
Woody and either Buzz or Jessie
2 princesses
Minnie and Mickey

DD keeps deciding that I should be the smaller or more kid like part of each duo so we may be a reverse pair (e.g. me as Cinderella and her as Fairy Godmother). I'm starting to think that would be so cute we may just do it.

I'd love to hear any other ideas for some Disney duo costumes that we could consider. As you can see, I'm not resigned to only girl characters.

DebIreland - that Alice costume is so cute!
mybgirl - I love the Brer Rabbit idea!

tmfranlk,
What a great idea going as a duo - some great character ideas too. :thumbsup2

Another one to consider is The Incredibles - Elastic Girl and her daughter, I think her name is Violet? Might be fun to get a long black wig for your DD! Or the Monsters Inc. duo, Sully & Mike.

Those pics in your sig are adorable :goodvibes

:thumbsup2

Just Beware!
We were there last year during the World Series (and MNSSHP). My 8yr DS is a huge Yankee fan and wore some sort of Yankee jersey or tee every day...Boy, did we take a lot of ribbing from the CM's. Not too many Yankee fans work for Disney apparently :rotfl: In fact, at Chef Mickey's Goofy made believe he was going to choke DS. It was pretty funny all in all.

Anyway, we were a large group also, including 6 pre-teen and teenage boys (not so big on costumes)...We took the advice of others on the boards and went with something cool and comfy...Each boy picked a dwarf (best friend's hubby got to be Grumpy). The rest of us picked between Snow White, Evil Queen, Ugly Witch, and "Mirror Guy" . I had the images and names put on white tee shirts. Wore those with black shorts and off we went. We got a lot of great comments from everybody. In fact, when we saw "SW and the "real Seven Dwarfs" walking to the meet and greet area they all stopped and gave us high-fives. It was great and the boys got a big kick out of it.
However, the adults did drive them crazy singing HI-HO every place we went - ahhh paybacks! ;)

Loved MNSSHP and would definitely go back!

Yep I'm thinking about them too. Mum is coming to her first MNSSHP this year, she thinks she will go as a hippy as she was a teenager in the 1960's and was a hippy back then, she still has lots of her old clothes and jewellry and stills fits into it!!!

I don't know whether to go as a hippy too and borrow some of her excess or to go as a more covered up/desexualised Orion slave girl from Star Trek with OH as Captain Kirk!!!

we went to our first MNSSHP this past October, our DD (8) was Jasmine and our DS (5) was a bellhop from the ToT. DW and I were Fiona and donkey.

10 Yankees players? Remind me to avoid you at all costs. :lmao:
(just kidding, ummm, sorta :rotfl: )

DBF and I are going to be Snow White & Prince Charming :lovestruc

Not yet, I think they go on sale at the end of April or first of May

So glad I'm not the only one thinking about this - we will be me (35), DH (33), DD (4) and DS (2), and my mom (60). I can't decide between:

1. Peter pan group (DD as tink, DS as Pan, the rest of us as pirates or lost boys or maybe me as Tiger Lilly)
2. Cinderella group (DD as Cindy, DS as Prince Charming, my mom as Fairy Godmother, and DH and I as mice)
3. Two princess groups (DD, DS and my mom as is from Cinderella, but me as Snow White and DH as Snow Prince)
4. All pirates except for DD as tink

All I know is that DD is going to insist on being some kind of princess, but I think I could talk her into Tink instead. I also know that whatever I come up w/ for hubby is going to have to be comfortable and easy to wear.

Decisions, decisions . . .

Oh, and a shameless plug for the going in October list- anyone on here who isn't on there and wants to be - please come join the fun! Here's a link:The **Official** October 2006 Who's Who (and Who's Going)

We would really like to be co-ordinated also but it's a bit difficult as we are me, DH and 2 DDs - not many groups that have 2 female kids. Thought about going as Cinderella, Prince Charming and Ugly Sisters but not sure the DDs will want to be the Ugly Sisters :rotfl:

I did think about dalmations, on the basis we would just need white tees with black spots on and perhaps a collar but seemed like a bit of a cop-out :confused3

Wilma-bride -
how about a Peter Pan group? - you have your choice between Tink, Wendy or Tiger Lilly plus your husband could be either Pan or Capt. Hook. Or you could have all three females go as princesses with one prince for all of you to share (each of you pick your favorite princess).
I'll keep thinking . . .
