MNSSHP coming back 2021?

I won't pay that. Three hours with not very many entertainment offerings, and the unlimited snacks of the former After Hours events not being included. I wouldn't pay much more than a days ticket price.
Pricing it high might encourage less people (which I am sure Disney is still mulling over) - I am sure it will be much more limited (in attendance) than previous events. I agree - for the lack of parades and possibly fireworks, paying over $160 is just too much for 3 hours.

Im guessing it will be capped around the 35% capacity they are doing right now personally, they are going to sell as much as they can just like they always do for the parties.

Yup, that's what I am waiting to see. If it is more than a day ticket, we won't go. Especially since my 5 year old will probably be asleep in the stroller by 10 pm.

Agreed. They will pack this event no matter the cost. I won't but some will. Like previously posted, it's a lot for kids that will be asleep for most of it.

We love MNSSHP, with Oct being our favorite time to visit Disney World, but I don’t see us paying for this version. Our favorite aspects are the parade (luv luv luv watching Headless Horseman) and fireworks. I have no doubt the events will sell out, but there just isn’t enough to entice us to pay to attend.

Its more they aren't running normal parades and fireworks and the castle shows not enough space to get people apart and cause traffic jams.
Agree that crowd control, spacing, and limited viewing areas is the issue. Also once event is over WHERE WILL EVERYONE GO..... All in the same direction PUSH, SHOVING, CROWDING TOGETHER.. I think the only park that might work would be EPCOT

I just do not understand this logic. Currently 40% of the adult population is fully vaccinated and 55% have at least one dose. By Aug 10th, well over 60% of the adult population will be vaccinated with available vaccine available to every adult in the country. Plus the event is outside. So, with all that there should be zero fear of Covid by those vaccinated -- let the party begin.

I'm seeing 7pm-midnight unless you guys are only counting when the rest of the guests leave?

Fireworks may very well be back by fall, but now they won't be behind a paywall of every other night parties, something I hadn't thought of on a blog I was reading when pertaining to people coming for the 50th is important to plan around. Which makes me wonder, how they'll handle ANY parties during any holidays during the 50th, Covid or not. We're planning a December trip next year, with the hopes that everything would be back to normal and we'd be going to MVMCP. But I wonder if they'll still be in whatever mode they are planning to be in for the 50th so fireworks aren't behind a paywall.

I hope this ticketed event is cheaper than MNSSHP, because clearly it's less of an experience.

It was for the kids. I think by choosing 9-midnight that they are clearly stating its more adult focused this year. We usually get there about 6 and leave around 10. No way we will take the kids to an event that just starts at 9pm.

I assume they're looking at the actual event times. I'm not experienced with Disney's after hours events like most here but I assume the 9-12 will be when the event is going on but the park and it's attractions will be available from 7-9?

That is correct. All non-event guests will need to exit the park by the stated closing time. Event guests can stay and will likely have a wristband. They can stay and continue to ride attractions where CMs will check for wristbands and they can do the unique activites. You may even need a wristband to buy special merchandise. When I did Villains After Hours a few years ago I entered at 7 PM and was able to watch Happily Ever After before the event began. There was also a normal After Hours event that had no theme and was basically just extended hours. This is like those events, except with some special Halloween events (no stage show though).

You would be surprised. At DAH events in past, I saw plenty of little ones attending. A good afternoon nap and you're good to go for the evening.

Kids are all different for sure, but that definitely does not work for ours. Our 4 year old doesn't nap and is out by 8pm. Earlier if he had a long day in the parks. Im sure our 7 year old could make it at this point though, but the next day might not be great. She's out at 9 up by 7 normally. Regardless I still don't think an event that starts at 9pm is geared toward young kids whether their parents chose to take them or not.

Except wdw is a travel destination for those outside the country and it's not just about US rates.

Oh yeah, even late EMH used to have a lot of little kids. One of my favorite stories is one late night at MK, maybe 1 AM or so, I rode Little Mermaid with no wait. In a shell coming up the belt there were two dead-tired looking parents and this baby girl just giddy, doing that full-armed clap that kids do. The CMs were just letting them go around and around, and asked if they wanted to go again? They did, and they were still on when I got off. The girl was so, so happy! As far as I know, they are still on that ride.... 😉

Normally true yes, but this year Disney is probably forecasting based on US travel alone. Have UK folks see any welcome back adds targeted at them yet?

We have done the parties with kids as young as 3 months old, granted under 3 I don't care if they sleep or not since they don't need a ticket. But once mine are 3/4 they make it to midnight with no issues and have a blast. The disney parties are geared towards families and adults. Plus you also have to remember not everyone is on EST. So for those from west coast they are actually even easier for them to do.

I agree. Right now there is virtually very little international travel for leisure trips going on. There is some but not a ton.

Yeah this is what I read from DTB
'Disney After Hours Boo Bash tickets will grant admission to Magic Kingdom park as early as 7 pm without the need for a day park ticket or Disney Park Pass reservation, plus the 3 exclusive hours of the event.' So you can enjoy it for longer with your hard ticket, but they won't kick day guests out until later. So you'll still get that crossover like with parties. But if it was me, I'm going to get my full monies worth and be there at 7.

Always! I did that for the Villains After Hours - entered right at 7. It was 4 PM for MNSSHP. You could even get Fast Passes for the pre-event time with the tickets!
