I would guess the parties on the weekends are busier than mid-week parties, and the closer to Halloween it gets, the busier the parties. However, since Halloween is on a Monday this year, there might not be as many locals at the 10/31 party- I believe the party isn't sold out yet. Last year's 10/31 MNSSHP was sold out more than a month ahead of time.

early sundays have always semmed to be the lightest. not a lot of tourist action, and we have to be at work on monday. but we always take this time off.
We did the first party of 10/1 in 2004. Then in 2003 we did the Halloween night party (sold-out). I of course can't give you numbers or statistics. However, the 10/1 party felt as if it only had 1/2 the crowds of the 10/31 party. They were both Friday night parties too.
I think the earlier in the month, the less crowded.
