MNSSHP Candy

Do you have to be dressed up to trick or treat? (Not sure if just the kids are going to dress up or if DH and I are too)
Not at all. Some do some don't.
We have found the CM really nice. We smile say "Hi" then "trick or treat" just like you would at someones house.
We love it.

I see a lot of general questions in the thread so, here's our experience...we've been about 7 times...

Go through one or two stops early in the evening to grab some treats for them to munch on while waiting for other activities. After that wait until later. The later, the better for the trick or treating. The lines become significantly lighter the later it gets and the candy doesn't run out. We've been through the Alice in wonderland treat trail at 11:45pm and gotten our bags filled to the brim by generous CM's who were just happy to see somebody back there at that time.

Prioritize your evening...if you know you'll have to bow out early then you'll have to really try to cram everything in you want to see. And buy glow necklaces etc. ahead of time...this is the perfect night for them :)

Make sure you cut through the path that goes from Barnstormer to Space Mountain. They handed out a bunch along that path when we were there 2 years ago. It may have changed since then but couldnt hurt to check.

What kind of candy has historically been offered for trick or treating?

Good stuff or smarties galore?

My favorite Halloween candy is Smarties and those orange and black wax paper wrapped Mary Janes. I consider Smarties the Good Stuff. HAHAHA

I just want to say that I love that you asked this question! This is what's really important!:rotfl:

I second the recommendation of T or T later in the night. They are throwing candy at you by that point, and no lines.

They really do throw it at you. When we left the park at closing there were cast members filling up everyone's bags to the top. We had already put our bags under the stroller and they gave us each another full bag of candy. SCORE!!!

This thread is getting me so excited! I cannot wait to go trick or treating there.

The next day after we go to the party we leave Orlando which means I'll have to make sure our bags of candy don't put our suitcases over the weight limit! Lol

The MNSSHP maps were published today, and some of the treat stations have sponsors. I can't remember them all, but Peeps was one of them (in Adventureland, I believe) and Craisins were another, I think in tomorrwland.

Yep! My daughter is working the first party tonight in Tomorrowland and she texted me to say she was handing out Craisins tonight!

Huh, guess we know why they closed down the F&W cranberry bog.

I've never been to a party but I'm making my boyfriend dress up and trick-or-treat. My excuse? He has to have experienced it himself before we have kids and teach them.
