Ok...this is the third time I have tried to post this. :badpc: I know the party begins at 7pm. What happens if you arrive between 6-7? Can you even get into the park yet? Would it be a better idea to arrive between 4-5?

Hi!

I'm not sure, but I assume this would be the same as MVMCP.

Last year we went on our "off" day from the parks. We got to the MK at about 3:55, at exactly 4pm they let the line of Christmas party attendees in.

After the park had closed to the day time visitors, they sent everyone over to Tommorowland for the last hour until all the festivites began!

Don't quote me but that's what I understand as well. With just a MNSSHP ticket (you don't need a park ticket) you can enter the park at 4:00pm.

The park closes at 6:00pm when all guests are asked to leave and MNSSHP guests are coralled into Tomorrowland from 6:00pm-7:00pm (unless you're dining in a restaurant). This is when the park is decorated.

The MNSSHP lasts from 7:00pm-12:00am.

I did read somewhere on here that they might be changing the time to 5:00pm to let in MNSSHP guests. I'm not sure where to check that for confirmation until you actually arrive (unless it's updated on the MNSSHP sticky at the top of the page).

Ok here's my question. Isn't there a riverboat ride at 7? How can people get on that ride if you can't even get in the park till 7?

Read my post above. You can get into the park at 4:00pm maybe 5:00pm. The actual party is from 7-12 but people not at the party need time to leave the park 6:00-7:00pm.
Also I don't think there will be a RiverBoat Ride. I just read today on the Disney site it will be down until Spring next year. Guess it's time for a refurb.

You definately get in before park closing(we normally arrive about 4.30) & they just ferry you to tomorrowland whilst they "kick" everyone else out.I'm not sure what they do if you turn up after park closing & before 7.00
SD :paw:

Is Tomorrowland extremely crowded from 6-7pm? Would it be better to just wait and enter the park after 7pm? Also, is fastpass available during MNSSHP? Thanks for your help! :sunny:

The last two times we've been, they've also shuffled some people into Fantasyland, so the crowd is split. We did ALL of Fantasyland in less than an hour when this happened, it was so empty. I don't think most people know you can go in before 7, so they don't even try. Fastpasses are not available during MNSSHP, because you don't need them! One hint - if there are two parades (iirc there are), go to the later one and spend the time during the first one going on rides. A lot of people with young kids leave after the first parade.

Yep. Don't ask me how I know :) but the riverboat is out behind City Hall, which surprised even the Cast Member with me.
It is NOT visible to the general public.

I thought it was only down until Sept 23 or something like that.

The time that we went (which was 3 years ago now), we got sent to Fantasy land to wait. They were already taking pictures (I think it was set up at IASW), so that is something you can do during the time that you are waiting. If you are planning to stay the whole time, you may also want to wait to do the "trick or treating". We saw long lines at some of the stations, but when we went bakc towards the end of the evening there were no lines.

The headless horseman was the best!

OMG, this will be our 5th time attending MNSSHP and we never knew we could get in before 7:00. Thank you! :worship: I told my DH, who thinks I'm crazy to be checking the posts all the time, that I always learn something new. It doesn't matter how many times you've been to WDW, there's something to be said for gaining new knowledge.

So that said...we'll see you at 4:00 on October 23rd.

Thanks for the response but I still can't find anything on the Disneyworld site. I looked under operational updates and under the information for the ride. I thought typically when a ride or attraction was going to be down for a period of time they would post it on this section of their site.
