MNSSHP and Parking

I am attending one night of MNSSHP. I assume parking is not inluded in the ticket price. Howewver, I do have an Annual Pass which includes parking. I dont want to pay the parking fee, so if I arrive at the Mk say by 5:30 or 6pm, do you think i can use my AP parking priviledge. Or would I have to arrive at the Mk even earlier that day?

I think there is an earlier post saying free parking for AP holders doesn't apply to special events. I'm not sure if they would let you park for free knowing that the park is closing in less than an hour. We went to MNSSHP on 10/7 and parking was $8.00. I think that's a ripoff considering the parking lots and drives are badly in need of restriping. No candy passed out at the parking booths either as in past years. My kids were disappointed about that since they always ate those couple pieces on the monorail.

If I've gone to a park earlier that day (I'm not an AP holder so I'll be paying), and keep my receipt, I won't need to pay for parking again, right?
