MNSSHP 2015 and late labor day

Hi! We are considering a trip for the first week in September and are wondering our chances of a Halloween party. I was thinking the parties do not start until after Labor Day, but with Labor Day being later, didn't know if that might mean they would have a party. DS7 and I would rather go in November for Christmas decorations and party, but DH and DD5 are wanting to go when it's definitely warm enough to swim--they figure it will be hit or miss to swim in mid November.

Labor Day isn't really part of the equation. Most years, MNSSHP has started somewhere in the 9/6 to 9/9 timeframe. This year, they did the same and added one on 9/1. No way to know, probably until next Spring when dates are announced, if that is a trend or an aberration.

I was thinking the same lines you were and I went back and looked at Labor Day 2009, it feel on Monday the 7th like next years AND then I went and looked at historcial dates for MNSSHP and they did have it on the Friday night before Labor Day which was Sept 4th. Not sure what it means if anything

We went to the one on 9/1 this year...mentally it seemed SO early, until we got there! It rocked! I think early ahead of Halloween is better than the days after it as I know they have done into November before.

I am hoping they have one on Labor Day again next year. If they do we will be able to do two parties. Love MNSSHP!

Historically (not including this years labor day event) the MNSSHP begins on the 2nd Tuesday in September. So, September 8th 2015 "should" be the 1st MNSSHP.

I was just checking UT park hours and Friday, September 4th is showing a closing time of 7:00. I'm looking on the bright side and assuming that means MNSSHP is on for that night. It's the last night of our trip, and something the kids have ALWAYS wanted to do. Now I just have to wait for the official announcement to [hopefully] book tickets!!!!!!

Assume Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays in September. In October, add Thursdays.

I know Sept. 1st, MK closes at 7pm right now, but they could extend that to regular hours. Right? Have they ever done that?

Last year at this time I would have said no, I don't think 9/1 will be a party. But since it was last year, I think it will be this year--especially with the preliminary 7:00p close. Anything's possible, but I like your chances.
