We are going down in Sept (6th-13) but not for the MNSSHP. I would like to avoid the MK on the party dates.
Problem- ADR's need to be made 3/14, dates for MNSSHP are not released until 5/14. To make ADR's I need to know which park we will be in each day (we don't buy park hoppers). I don't want to make my ADRs only to find out that we need to change the days we are in the parks come May so.......

Do the MNSSHPs usually always fall on Tues and Friday?

Parties for your week will likely be Sept. 9 and 12, and the schedule will likely show 7pm closures when the calendar is released.

The calendar and MNSSHP dates will be listed before your ADR booking dates.

OK, whew! Good! I did a search on disboards and found where several had answered the "dates released" question and they said "early May". Maybe that's when tix go on sale?

While we're on this topic, can someone remind me? The park closes to non-ticketholders on these nights, yes? At what time?

We are scheduled for these exact same dates (9/6 to 9/13). The only reason we picked this week is because we loathe crowds, and it looks like this will be one of the least crowded weeks of the year. (This will be our experiment to see if we can still "do" Disney to our satisfaction with no paper FP during a slow week, so we will see how it goes.)

We do plan on attending MNSSHP, though. Based on experience, which anticipated party date would be better...9/9 (which is a Tues but is also the first party of the year and will likely have a lot of CM friends/family passes) or 9/12 (which is a Fri so typically more crowded due to locals, weekenders, etc.). Any thoughts?

Oh, and one more question. OP...you mention 3/14 as your 180 ADR mark. I am getting 3/10. Am I doing the math wrong?

Definitely Tuesday :thumbsup2

I was able to pull up the park hours from last September and it looks like the parties were on Tuesdays and Fridays in September. Last year MNSSHP started on September 10th, so I think this year it would start on the 9th.

What was the sold out date last year because it was the last discounted day for CMs?

We've been to the first Friday party offered in September twice (2010 and 2012). I didn't find the crowds bad at all. I've found the September parties on a Friday less busy than October weekday parties.

Besides the parties, on your Sept 6 arrival date the MK will be closing at 7:00 for Night of Joy.
