MNSSHP 2012 Official Information

Was wondering if there was free face painting at mnsshp this year? I know they didn't have it last year due to expansion.

Got a full write-up of last night's party in the link.

Enjoy! Let me know what you think.

By the way, no free face painting this year, but I noticed a couple new games.

Great write-up! We were there last night too! It was a great night.

I just wanted to point out :upsidedow (sorry, I'm a HS English teacher!) that when you are talking about getting a FP for Splash, you make it sound like Splash is not open during the party. Just wanted to make sure people realize that you are talking about FPs not Splash Mountain! :thumbsup2

I had the same impression. I had to read that again to understand that correctly.

May be a dumb question - but why are the tickets cheaper in Sept than in Oct and on? I mean, the party doesn't change and if anything it gets more crowded the closer you get to Halloween. I just noticed this and am confused......:confused3

More crowds, more demand = higher prices.

Very simple. Economics. There is a limit somewhere around 25% of MK capacity for number of tickets per Party.

As the demand goes up and the number of tickets does not change, a higher price is willing to be paid.

Sorry about that. I'll try to change that. I was kinda tired writing this because I went to bed around 2am and had to wake up at 8am for my son's cross country meet (which ended up being cancelled). For me, that's not a lot of sleep. Thanks for the tweaking!:thumbsup2:goodvibes

Is there one particular day of the week where the party crowd is lower?

Tuesdays are the best, Sundays are all right, and Fridays are the worst. Keep in mind that neither of the three will be that bad.

1) Anything but Friday
2) If you have the choice between a discount and non-discounted night, pay more for the non-discounted night. A bunch of Tuesday Christmas parties in 2008 sold out and I couldn't figure out why. Then I figured out.... they were the discount nights.
3) In late October, the further away from Halloween the better.
4) I actually like Sunday better than Tuesday. I think it's too early into the week's vacation for some to want to go.

Thanks to both of you! We were hoping to go on Sunday, so that looks like a good choice.

From the map, it looks like both dance parties are outside?

No, the one in Frontierland is inside the Diamond Horseshoe.

We did a test run with the costumes this weekend. I bought a stippling brush and some black face paint to give DS and DH some 5 o'clock shadow. I also bought some rings and little accessories at party city after the pics were taken.
