MNSSHP 2006, Ready to start planning!

I hope the 16th of Oct is correct...thats my b-day and I'll be there turning 37.

I'm really disappointed with the dates.

Last year, there were parties on every Sunday night except one in October. This year, there are NO parties on Sunday nights.

It's been our tradition to drive over on Sunday, do the party on Sunday night, then do the F&W the next day.

....I've had my room booked for months...

Oh well - maybe next year.

jcemom, OT but how confident are you about this date? I don't see this on the allears rehab schedule. Please believe me I'm not trying to be a PITA but my whole itinerary seems to be going up in smoke. I've got two teenagers who planned to take surfing lessons on October 30. thanks.

According to them the following dates are EMH's for October so here they are again this is from the Calander off of WDW's website.

EMH 1,5,8,12,15,19,22,26,29 so I dont think any of these dates would be included in MNSSHP. Darn was hopingthe 19th would be because that is the day my son turns 13 I hope he will be satisfied with having EMH on his Bday.

We're only there for a long weekend trip. Our arrival day is on a Friday, so I was planning on a Sunday MNSSHP. I did this for A MVMCP 2 years ago and it worked out great having the party on a Sunday night. We have an early flight in to MCO, so we may need to take a long nap Friday afternoon to survive the party Friday night

Isn't the 19th (and the 5th, 12th, 26th) all morning EMH? Why would that interfere with MNSSHP? The parks close at 6pm on those Thursdays. I'd lean toward believing there will be MNSSHP on these Thursdays.

Yes, they are morning EMH and won't have any bearing on MNSSHP. It's just the evening EMH on Sundays that are affecting the party dates. I really was expecting them to move the EMH away from Sunday night, not the other way around. Do they ever do what we expect?

I'm 99% confident. It's the information we were given, and it also fits the historical pattern of water park rehab closure. I also double checked it with what Intercot has posted...they are also showing TL going down on the 29th.

I'm sorry about your itinerary. I know the feeling, really I do. This time I didn't make any hard plans, because I anticipated the conflict between MNSSHP and evening EMH, though I really did think EMH would be moved, not the parties. I've gone in January/February the past three years in a row though, and every single time in January something has changed...EMH, new tickets/packages, EMH again. UGH...

I called to make ADR at LTT for the sept 29 and oct 2 and the 5th and the 6th for the the party nights and she said the latest I can get is 4:30 cause the park closes at 6 :00 and last year I did 5:30 and came out in time for the party

Aw, that stinks. When do you arrive in WDW? Perhaps they do surfing lessons in Wet 'n Wild? I don't know. Might be worth checking?! I'm disappointed too by this news as my boys and DH went to TL last year but I stayed at the resort with our then 1 year old so they're always saying next time we go they want me there and they want to show me all the cool stuff. We'll be able to go I guess on 27th but I had wanted to wait til further into the holiday (26th will be our first day).

Maybe they're not going to open up the later times until they've officially announced the party dates?

O.k. Tony609...I'm confused too! What Disney number did you call? I spoke to someone at Disney World reservations and she said that the dates weren't out yet. I wanna talk to who YOU talked to! I like your dates a lot better. I just don't know when I can actually make the reservations though. Thanks for the tip!

How do you know the EMHs are morning EMHs according to the WDW website it just states EMHs not even listed as morning or night. Maybe I am missing it but the two areas I looked at the actual calender on there site and hitting the EMH on the calender it shows upto September. Where else can I look to find out for sure. Or where you just speculating like I was I am thinking EMHs for evening and you were thing EMHs for morning or is it listed somewhere else on WDWs website.

Sunday is the 'standard' day for MK's EMH evening and Thursday is 'standard' for EMH morning at MK. They do vary around peak times and holidays, but there is a basic EMH schedule, and with the exception of the switch between AK and Epcot the first week of October, the rest of the month is standard.

Ok then, let me ask this of those with experience:

How much more crowded would you expect the party to be on Friday Oct 27 versus Thursday Oct 26 (our arrival day) or Monday Oct 30 (night before we leave)? I am so bummed.

Thank you everyone for all the help with the dates! we are only going to be able to make it on 10/16 or 10/17 from what it looks like which are monday and tuesday. do you think it will be crowded on those days?
