MNSSHP 2006, Ready to start planning!

After seeing the dates it looks like I need to swap our plans for MNSSHP and HHN. I was hoping to attend the HHN on a Monday hoping for a lighter crowd since we are going so close to Halloween.

Thank you everyone for all the help with the dates! we are only going to be able to make it on 10/16 or 10/17 from what it looks like which are monday and tuesday. do you think it will be crowded on those days?

I hope not because we also have to choose one of those 2 days!

I asked a CM this morning when dates would be available, she said May!?
If they're not planning to 'officially' release dates until tickets go on sale, that's possible. Didn't tickets go on sale last year the last of April/first of May?

MousePlanet had a list of MNSSHP dates in their WDW Park Update section this morning.

The dates for this year's Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are now available. The Party will be held in the Magic Kingdom on the nights of September 29 and October 2, 5, 6, 10, 12, 16, 17, 19, 20, 23, 24, 26, 27, 30 and 31. Tickets are expected to go on sale at the very end of this month or the very end of next month. Dates for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will hopefully be released soon.

I hope that there is going to be a MNSSHP sometime from Oct.18 - 22, as I already have my airfare for those dates. On the front page of the DIS they are not listed as having a party. How accurate can that be? And why would MK close at 6pm if there is not party that evening?

I just called to do ADR's and had them transfer me to the reservation line to check on dates for MNSSHP. I'm going to be there from September 29th - October 8th so I only wanted the dates for that time.
I spoke to Marie and she said there were no dates for September and for the first week of October they had the 2nd, 5th and 6th. Those seem to fall in line with what we heard, except for September?? I tried to order tix but she said to call back at the end of April or beginning of May.

I guess I am confused now more than I was. :confused3 Do we have official dates or not? I didn't see anything on the disney website either. We're going October 13th -20th, when can I order the tickets? Is it just when they go on sale?

I have only seen dates on THE DIS. I called Disneyworld information again and they still say that there won't be anything "official" until the end of April or the first of may. It's making me NUTS! I guess all we can do it keep an eye out. :confused3

Okay, but we cannot purchase them until May 1st, correct?

Those dates are 'unofficial' and the tickets are not on sale yet. When you call Disney, they will tell you they are not on sale and to try back the end of April, which is when they went on sale last year.

Every year this happens; Unofficial dates start ciculating and drive everyone crazy! Last year, when the official dates/tickets were release, we found out that a couple of the unofficial dates were incorrect.

Okay, according to the new Oct calendar, we will be able to choose between Friday 10/27, Monday 10/30 or Tuesday 10/31 to attend MNSSHP.

I am ruling out Halloween night itself because I asume it will be REALLY crowded.
That leaves either Friday 10/27 or Monday 10/30.

I have read that Fridays tend to be more crowded because the locals attend on Friday nights.
But when do you think would be most crowded? A Friday or Monday, the night before Halloween?

Please give me your opinions :teeth:

How do you subscribe? :confused3

Actually, the best way to subscribe is this way:

When you are in a thread you are interesting in all you have to do is go to the top of the screen and click on "Thread Tools" and then choose "subscribe to this thread". That's it!

You can choose to be notified by email or not.

Some people still don't know this way and they do it the old way which is you post to a thread and write something like "subscribing" and then before you click "submit reply" you scroll down and under "Additional Options" there is a choice to "subcribe". Next time you post, look down at the bottom and see the "additional Options" and you'll see the "subscribe" option.

HOpe this helps!

To clarify, I just noticed that these are 2005 dates.

Actually, just to clarify again, they are saying they are 2006 dates but they are unofficial thus far. The rest of the info on that page is from 2005, only the dates say they are for 2006.

Every time I see a post that says "subscribing" I wonder if people know they don't have to reply to subscribe. I guess you've been wondering the same thing, huh?
