i am trying to get DH and MIL
and DD's excited about MNSSHP for our trip

here are some questions

1) will it be on the first week of Oct

2) exactly what does it have

3) does anyone have pictures they can share
especially any of the headless horse man

TIA:tongue:

Try this link for all you need to know. It's a thread we had for last year's party. It has tons of info and some pics too.

I can tell you It is a lot of fun.

The park transform into a Halloween
theme, with trick-or-treats, special
parades, fireworks, storytelling, smoke,
spooky sounds and lights all around.

All the attractions are going.

I went in the later part of Oct. but, I read
reports of those who went early Oct. and
all seemed to enjoy.

The headless horseman starts the
parade and he is Disney neat.

Well, I can only say it is a great time
and MK after dark, especially with a
Halloween theme is something not
to miss.

We went toward the end of October and it was awesome!! We planned a 5:30 PS at Liberty Tree Tavern and were done by 6:30 thus were in the park before the party started. Were able to get the photo done first with out much wait.

We went on a Sunday and it wasn't crowded at all. The parade was awesome- all villian themed. Characters were out in their Halloween costumes. Excellent fireworks. No waits for rides and very cool to ride them at night- especially things like Dumbo and Aladdin's carpets that take you high for a view. Good people watching too as many dressed up- although you don't have to if you don't want to.

One note to you- bring bug spray. The mosquitos came out something fierce just as the sun was going down. Didn't need the bug spray any other time but certainly used it on MNSSHP eve.

I'm ready to go again!

We went to MNSSHP this past October, it was great! They have it on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays throughout the month of October. They have trick or treating throughout the park, special costume contests, storytelling along with all the regular Magic Kingdom attractions. When we went there seemed to be a fair amount of people in the park but there were no lines for the rides. We went on splash mountain at night which was very cool and got the souvenir picture with us in our halloween costumes. The best time to get the free picture is right after the fireworks or parade. When we first got there the lines were very long for the pictures, so we waited until later and got in for our pictures in liberty square with no wait right after the fireworks, it was great. There are so many special events going on too. The last ride we went on was Pirates of the Caribbean and after we got off the ride there was a pirate trio singing in the street and making people honorary pirates for a day. My daughter-dressed as snow white-was wearing a pirate hat and being sworn in as an honorary pirate-it was so cute. I only wish the party was longer-we got there early and didn't leave until midnight!! Another cool thing was that we got stroller rentals for free! They were just handing them out at the gate, it was really nice since we had been walking all around the Animal Kingdom earlier that day! Hope this info helps you out, let me know if you would like to know anymore!pirate: princess:

We went Oct 31st 2000. Had a great time! Made PS at Tony's but because of a glitch had to transfer to Liberty Tree. Tony's was very apologetic, a cast member escorted us to LTT, we didn't have to pay the difference in cost, and LTT was a Character Meal. (I think we made out on the deal) Our Waiter was very friendly and told us most of the cast members are costumed from the Haunted Mansion for the evening, complete with graveyard like complections!

Very short lines for rides, cute parade, a story teller was telling the "Legend of Sleepy Hollow" and the Horseman rode thru as the finale, also starting the parade. Lot's of characters, we saw all 7 of the dwarfs at the camera shop on Main St. Cinderella and mice and coach were out. DD#2 was dressed as a witch and the Hag (witch) from Snow White took to her, signed her autograph book, posed for a photo, but when DD#1 made her move the witch waved her off. Wouldn't have a thing to do with her! We thought it was funny, as the villians have been known to behave badly!
The only complaint the DD's had was not enough candy. Maybe it was where we trick or treated, but they barely got any treats.

I'm thinking of going this year as well! Thanks for the bug-spray tip!

I'm thinking of eating at LTT before the party and was wondering how busy it was ... I like the idea of being in the park before the party starts :)

We liked being in the park before the party started. LTT wasn't crowded early, but as things got going, of course, it did start to get a little crowded. We were on out way out by then so, it wasn't bad. Food was good, it was served family style. For characters we had Minnie, Chip and Dale, and Goofy in Halloween costumes. They came by several times and played with DD's. If I remember, the hardest part is planning the Bus vs. Priority Seating. But that's usualy the case.

We went for the first time last year & it was excellent! This was the first year that MNSSHP was on at the time of our visit(it always used to start later in the month)I disagree slightly with those that say 10/5 was quiet as this was the busiest the park had been during our stay!My only complaint would be that the hours just aren't long enough! There is just so much to see & do!!The attraction lines weren't too bad but the character lines were, especially Minnie & Mickey-eaten alive by bugs!!DW & I didn't dress up this time but I think we'll make the effort next year-I don't know how the "girl" in the Sumo suit managed to get on the rides!!My only other advice would be the parade-the guide map advises that the 2nd parade will be quieter-pah-if you want front row standing get there early!

Are priority seatings for LTT available around the same time when the MNSSHP tickets first go on sale? I know PS for LTT during MVMCP were available much earlier than the 90 day window.

TIA :p

Regarding the 10/5 party - we sat in front of city hall for the second parade, there were few people around there. We were able to sit on a bench near the restrooms about 8 feet from the curb with no one in front of us.
