We had a great time at the party. It was the most fun of our trip. We saw lots of characters..parade was great, fireworks were awesome. It was so much fun!

We came back with about 15lbs of candy! It was crazy. Lines were not long for candy or rides but were a little long for certain characters..not unmanagable though. We just really enoyed it and I thought I would share some pics from it..

Enjoy! :goodvibes

Amanda those pictures were just beautiful!!!

What is your secret? Where did you stand for the parade and what kind of camera did you use?

How did the baby do on the trip? Ethan looks so adorable.

Those are some of the best pictures I have EVER seen of MNSSHP and WDW. Thank you so much for sharing them :)

These are such wonderful photos. Like a pp asked, what kind of camera did you use. Your son is so cute.

Yes, those ARE awesome pictures!!! We were there that night and I was so bummed I didn't see one single DISer! That WHOLE WEEK I paraded around with the LGMH's on my stroller and backpack and the closest I came to meeting another DISer was when one of you PARKED YOUR STROLLER NEXT TO MINE!!! :rotfl: You had a LGMH hanging from your stroller just like I did!

Anyhow, your pictures are WAY better than mine! I was dressed as the Queen of Hearts, DH had a big Mad Hatter's hat on and DD was Alice. We didn't see Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum like you did!

Overall it was a good party, though! I was totally bummed that after waiting in line for almost a half hour for Cinderella's carriage the Photopass guy's camera broke down and the line stopped moving so we left! :(

Thanks guys. My camera is the Canon Digital Rebel XT. I love it. I worked with it a lot to learn how to get good night shots before we left. i was determined to get some great shots this trip. I am really into photography but mainly get to shoot people mostly kids so when I get a chance to do other things I jump all over it..lol I am such a picture freak. I took 1250 this trip. Drove hubby crazy.. :rotfl:

For the parade I was sitting on the ground at the corner of mainstreet with dh and ds and actually I was video taping in one hand and shooting pics in the other hand for a bit before hubby took over videoing so I was shocked these came out at all..lol :rotfl:

Fantastic photos, and how lucky were you to get Snow White and all 7 dwarfs - I have never seen them together, so hoping we see them at MNSSHP on 31st!

I see the man with the dog was there, after hearing he hadn't been seen this year at MNSSHP, that is great, was he part of the parade?

Wow! Those are incredible pictures. Thanks so much for sharing. How did you manage the picture looking down Main Street with no people in it? I love the dark castle pics. They are so Halloween :) Looks like you had a great time... your kids are precious!

We must have been sitting on the ground right next to you, because our pics look just the same, from the same angle and we were there that night too! :D

Your pictures are fantastic. I have been reading these boards for some time now. I decided to register when I realized that I was in line behind your husband for Snow White and the Dwarfs! I remember thinking how sweet it was of him to have the baby's picture taken.

Are those photos enhanced at all in Photoshop or some other editing app? I ask, because I've never seen such brilliant color (especially in the empty main street shot) in a nighttime picture.

Got any tips/tricks for night photography?

Great pics! Dale looks like he's got somethin' on his mind in that one w/ the dancing girls! :lmao:

The one w/ your son and Tweededee 7 Tweedledum - he looks like he's thinking "who the heck are these guys?"

Wow, all of your pix are great, but that one on Main Street is spectacular!!!

And from one mom of boys to another, that pic in your sig. is very sweet. :goodvibes

Amanda--those really are great pictures....you are very talented! I'm going to go home and read my manual for my Elp for night time shots, but I don't think they'll turn out that well. We just bought if for our trip in 05, and all of our parade pics were blurred. It just doesn't stop motion like I'd like. I don't even take it to the kids ball games anymore--cause all the action shots are blurry.

BTW--you have a beautiful family--you should very proud! Enjoy them while they're young.

Thanks so much guys.

The mian st pic at night I was able to get b/c we stayed in the park til 1am after the crowds left..lol :thumbsup2

I thought the same thing about the tweedle dee and um pic..lol I told hubby he looked like he was thinking now who in the heck are they? lol

Nope none of the night time pics were edited. The only ones that are edited at all are about 4 of the character pics that I darkened a bit b/c they had whited out too much in the lighting. I was so thrilled with my night time pics comming out that well since it was my first time really doing them. :) I try hard to not edit any of my pics..hubby hates when I edit them b/c then he says it is not the real pic I took anymore so I do as little editing as possible on them to try and keep them "mine". ;)

That is so cool that some of you were there the same night as us. Wish we would have known. I was in line with hubby for snow white and the dwarfs but they I took Ethan to ride Dumbo and the lined moved faster than we thoght so he made it up there before we got back so he got his and the babys pic made so we could have one. :) I was so glad he did not just get out of line. :goodvibes

Was that OUR stroller with the LGMH? I had a big one on my stroller that said Disney Bunch. I kept that thing on there all week and only came across one diser! :rotfl:

One thing I know from experience is that a tripod or some sort of stable base is essential for good nighttime shots on a digital camera, since the 'film' speed of most digital cameras is pretty low. With a regular film camera, just get some 1600 speed film and adjust shutter speeds accordingly.

Yeah, I wish I had had one with me for those pics. I did find prop up spots for a few of them which helped lots.

I posted my very few tips on my other pic thread a few mins ago too.. the big fat disney slideshow one. ;)

Wow! Thanks for sharing! Your photos are beautiful and will give you great memories later on. :)

Wonderful pictures, thanks for sharing. Now I really want to go next year!!!!!!!
