MNNSHP question

I thought the MK actually closes and then reopens for MNSSHP. Yet I've read a lot about people suggesting dinner reservations for party night at the times 5, 6:00 or what I understood was the break. Does everyone have to leave and then reenter with their ticket or do they let you stay straight thru as long as you're paid.
Unfortunatley, I'm off property for the first time in a long time and want to be able to plan.

At the top of this page is a thread with bunches of great info on MNSSHP. You don't have to leave the park before the party starts. You can get into the park without a separate admission ticket at 4pm. All attractions & rides are open until 6pm. At 6pm everyone with tickets to MNSSHP moves to Tomorrowland to hang out until 7pm when the party starts. Attractions and rides and counter services are open in Tomorrowland during the wait.
