Mn cornfields to Gulf of Mexico on NW

To get between those points cost $675 total for two tickets for early August! Last year's tix were $229 each.

I've been checking airfare for 5 months to Pensacola/Destin, Fl and Northwest won't budge on their fares to the Panhandle. Same price every day.

NW is the only airline that flies cornfields to the Panhandle, LOL..

Someone tell me I'm not nuts. This is a girls only vacation. Spending time with my college age dd.

All you SW fliers out there, enjoy your $49. tickets to Fl.

The ONLY way I've found to get cheap-ish flights on NW anymore is to use the special they occasionally offer.

It's the cash and miles offer....you use 10,000-20,000 miles to get a "discounted" ticket. It works ok because we've NEVER been able to use our miles for free tickets anyway, so our miles were going to waste.

Have fun with your dd...and NO, you are not nuts! LOL LOL

We did the cash/miles for one other trip. Only offering now for that from NW is to Hawaii. Probably cheaper to go there!.

Hi Herc...oh, I feel your frustration! Hard to get good fares to anywhere from MN!
We're flying Sun Country to Orlando this October...beat NWA by almost $75 a ticket at the time we purchased. But now the fares are much closer...and much higher.

And no, you are not nuts to spend $$ for a girls-only trip with your dd! The time you have before your kids are grown and working is so short as it is..take advantage of it while you can. My dd, Krnb, and I took trips together when she was in HS and college..and we had such great times! Now she is married and has limited vacation, and those opportunities just aren't there as much.
