Mmmmmm...donuts......

The bakery down the street from me was just ranked in the top 12 donuts nationally . Atkins cider donuts are the best I've tasted. I know it's considered blasphemy for some, but I don't get the whole Krispy Kreme thing-not that I would turn one down .

I was born and lived most of my life in MA (Chicopee, which isn't too far from where you are apparently..lol)..and Atkins was one of my favorite places to go..apple picking in the fall..cider donuts..maple sugar candy, homemade pies for the holidays, boy did your post bring up a touch of 'forgotten past'..thanks for the reminder..now please, send me some of those donuts!..lol

We have a local place here called Spudnuts, the donuts are made from potatoes. They are the best donuts I have ever had. They only make a few kinds, glazed, chocolate frosted and blueberry are all I know of. They are open each day until the donuts run out. They are way better than Dunkin' Donuts or Krispy Kreme, imo.

I just failed in my quest to buy my favorite jelly donut at the grocery store! I stopped by and they had run out. I've been thinking about this donut for 2 weeks (I'm on a semi-diet). The store gets it from a bakery somewhere.

Canada is known for its Tim Horton's but like Krispy Kreme, I don't get why they are so popular. They are light nothings, iced. Nothing really tasty.

My all-time FAVORITE type of donuts are the ones that are called LongJohns. They are long, creme filled and iced...my fave is iced Maple Brown Sugar..mmmmmmmmmmmmm

I could also go for a dozen of FRESH HOT Krispy Kremes!!!
