MM & WOC strategy planning ???

Hi fellow DISers!

I could use your advice on my trip coming up this week...DH & I will be arriving this coming Wed, May 11th from the SNA airport at 9:45am and taking a Super Shuttle to the Red Lion hotel. We plan to check in and head to the parks! Should we head straight for DCA to get WOC fastpasses or just try for THursday, May 12th which is a grad night? I want to see the fireworks on Friday night.

Finally, we have about half a day on Saturday at the parks before our shuttle picks us up around 1 pm for the airport. Should I use our MM on Thursday or Saturday? I was kind of leaning towards Thursday since we'll probably be up late Friday night.

Any thoughts or suggestions on when I should do WOC or MM and how busy it will be next week would be greatly appreciated!

I would try for FP's when you get to the parks.....the only reason I kinda like this over a Grad night is......I think the crowds being ushered from DL will move over to DCA, making the crowds for the WoC at maximum......busy, busy!!!

As for the MM, If you know you'll be at the parks late on Friday night, then I'd go for the Thursday morning. Weekends are busy & getting a head start is a huge perk for using a MM then.....so it's kinda up to you & your schedule. You know how you can handle the long hours best!!

As a general rule, I recommend using MM as soon as possible during your trip because you will get tired as the trip goes on, and thus you will be less motivated to get up that early.

I would try to do WoC right away. Not because of grad night crowds but because on Friday you have the option of seeing RDCT instead. So if it were me I would go into DCA and see what color FP is being issued. If it's blue or yellow definately get one, if red maybe not. Red has good spots but fewer than the other areas. Kind of a side view rather than strait on from 2/3 of the red area. Anyway if you do or don't get the WoC FP also get one for Soarin because it's nearby and a great ride.

As far as MM. For sure Thursday. Though not for the same reason as above. Most people go to DL on Saturday and Sunday. So all those hotel guests get up early on Saturday and go to MM but are too tired to make it on Sunday. So Saturday is usually the busiest MM. Use MM on Thursday, and on Saturday plan to go in and make a left into Adventureland or Frontierland because the rest of the park is full of the MM people.
