MM Warriors Part Deux (As of October 27)

I love you, Kate! More and more alike every day, we are! I call my Eddie Bauer clothes my Oregon clothes. It's where I can wear cute clogs and snuggly clothes and be away from the snobby ladies in my community and act more like my authentic self. Someday my location will probably match my spirit more. I hope you have fun decorating for Thanksgiving. J-P bought his plane ticket and I decorated today so I could feel like it's around the corner, lol! I have pilgrims and Indians and a carved turkey. Fun! I'm off to find pink candy for the little sweetie around the corner. princess:

Hmmmmmm.... A carved turkey? Trying to picture it.... :)

Good morning Ladies! I'm still sleeping very long hours! It's ok though! I'm awake now. :)

The lady that sold me that table keeps bringing me stuff. I think she realized that I'm at a financially down time in my life at the moment. I'm having a hard time accepting someone being so damn generous to me! I did the same thing to people in Maine when we were moving and couldn't take all of our things with us. But this is just overwhelming! Today she's bringing lamps and PVC chairs. So now I'll be able to finish the guest room. Well, the PVC chairs are for the backyard. She gave me lots of bushes, and plants from her offshoots, so I can make a garden. It makes me want to cry.:sad1: In a good way though.

Kathy, have fun today at the game! If you go all of the time, get some of those heat packs that you break and they warm up for hours. They are great for feet and hands. You can buy them in bulk on Amazon. Last year I bought a huge box and was giving them away to people at the Christmas Parade in Maine!:santa:

Tom, if you stop in, I'm lighting a candle today for you and your bride to send you good wishes and blessings!pirate::bride:

Pony, I'm close to ten years younger than you and I walk all crooked and limping in the morning from my hips. I think it comes from being generous size ladies and getting older. As we continue melting I think it will get better. Mine gets worse on rainy days too. Robin, it's too bad you don't have a giant shower to send the horses through like a car wash! I think ponies and all animals should be allowed the freedom to roll in the mud any time they want. People too! I'm not having any urges, but if I should I'd like the freedom to do so!

Well, when I woke up it was 87 degrees, and now it's dropped to 85. That is a good sign, but since it's only an hour there may be storms associated with that quick of a change. There's nothing in the forecast but sun, but that does seem quick. It's supposed to get to 69 in the middle of the night tonight. I'll be able to open the windows!

Sharron Lee, I only started using facebook a few months ago. And that was only because that's the only way I could get photos of my nieces and nephews! I've found since that it's neat to keep up with friends. I'm in the house most of the time at this point in my life, so it's like I have friends around me during the day.

I'm a little sad because all I have is some Puerto Rican lollipops with sesame seeds in them and a few eyeball gum drops. Marti ran out of cigarettes and went through half the bag of gum. Oh well, next year I can go all out. :) We're going to sit with the lights dim on the couch under a blanket (I've used a blanket since a little kid for scary movies) and watch the Ghost Hunters live show.:scared1:

You know, at this point I think the Godiva ride should be changed to the Godiva Parade!

I have also managed to develop a liking for green tea. I fix it exactly the way I fix black tea, with a little milk (cream at this point) and a little sweetener.

Good luck with the pink candy finding Lisa! I always try to keep a pack of toddler cookies and some dog biscuits. Next year! :)

Ok, off to clean up the house! Wish me luck!

Good afternoon ladies!
The football game was fun to watch. So muddy LOL. But his daughter's team won, but only by 2 points. :cool1:
It was cold and rainy, but I bought 2 of the big golf umbrellas at Walmart, and those helped block the wind.
Needing a nap now LOL.
Not much going on here. Just a quiet afternoon. A lazy kind of day.
I thought there was someone I wanted to respond to, but forgot who. CRS kicking in again :(
Nell, isn't it great how nice people can be? That is so kind of her to give you those things. I know she knows you appreciate it. It just reminds me how much kindness is still in the world. How is Marti doing? I hope better.
Also Nell, I do have those feet and hand warmers. We use them a lot in the winter when we walk Tyson. The are sooo great! We bought a bunch when Walmart clearanced them out last winter/spring or when ever it is they do that LOL.
I'll catch up with you all later. Not too sure what I'm doing later. Just a day of being spontaneous.

Hey guys, totally DEAD here at work today...I might as well go home!! But of course my super has other ideas about that! LOL

Kate - Fine, no cartwheels, I bet Tutu would let me!! I will give y'all the shakeology report after I try it for a week and see how my blood sugar reacts.

Kathy - I get the shakeology through my trainer at the gym...I think thats the only way to get it, but I will ask him. I can always be y'alls "Dealer" if we have to!

Cindy - enjoy the big day and Im so glad you got your Julian bread...its the BOMB!!

SharronLee - you are RIGHT about the pack mules, we will need a moving van if we keep this up! Nell is right, it will be more like a parade!!

Barb - I just KNEW you would jump on that pumpkin syrup!!:cool1:

Nell - thats so sweet that woman keeps bringing you stuff!@ I wish you were closer so I could bring you stuff too!! Remember, that what goes around, comes around...so the things that you did for people when you left Maine are coming back to you now!!

I am LMAO about the "Pony Wash"!!!:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2::laughing:

Lisa - well that is encouraging to know...I have been thinking (too much) about the fact that I have lost weight but not really many inches and only one size...so if I finally start losing THAT I would be a VERY HAPPY PONY! I honestly could not care what the scale says...just want to be in smaller clothes and lose the muffin top!!! Thanks for pointing that out to me!! I have to measure tomorrow before starting step 2 again and I KNOW I have lost some inches in my thighs because my darn pants that are a size smaller are still snug in the waist, but are darn loose in the legs again! What the heck is with that? I SO BADLY want to lose my hips and muffin top, but they are holding on like GLUE!

Kathy, a close game is always more exciting! I'm glad you had a good time and didn't get too cold and wet!

Pony, if anyone could design and come up with a "pony wash" I bet you could! :rotfl:

I had a productive outing! Guess what???? Smuckers has answered the Polaner (sp?) call! At Target they had Low Sugar, No Artificial Sweetener, Smuckers Spreads 1 net carb! Red raspberry, strawberry and concord grape! Yippee! I don't use it much, but cool for when we want to!

Got the little princess:her own bag of pink M&M's at Michaels. I hope there's not a porchful of kids when she comes, or they might get jealous so I'll have to detain her until they are gone;)

Got Choc Coconut Adkins bars for dessert for us and all candy we don't like, such as Skittles, lol! Bloody Atkins people lied on the box though. I knew enough to read my own label, but it makes me aggravated. They are really 11 carbs, but the box says 3 net carbs!

I am so glad you had a productive day, Lisa! I bet your little princess: was adorable and very happy! For Tris' shower I used the brown and turquoise M&M's for her little favors. I love M&M's.
We missed trick or treating because of the football game. There is always next year! I'm glad Tyson didn't get his costume this year. LOL

Nell: How lovely of that lady to bring you useful items and plants! She probably likes to know that she is blessing you with things that will give you and others joy for a long time. I know you will pay it forward! :littleangel:

We still have a few hours before dark. Good thing we don't talk about our favorite TV shows - you all would be giving it all away to us westerners!

There is usually not much good on tv for us on Sat. We just have the basic cable and it's not digital. The cable company moved most of the channels I like to HD. We refuse to get one of their boxes. We will be needing a new tv soon anyway.
Mike fell asleep on the couch with the remote and some informercial is on. His voice is sooo annoying. I need to pry the remote out of his hands and change the channel LOL. As soon as I do that, he always wakes up. Sort of like a security blanket.:lmao:
I would never reveal shows endings to you. It was funny one year on New Years Eve, I called my sister at midnight and they were watching the ball drop, but it was only 10 pm in CO. She said they watch it twice.

I think we'll try to watch a movie tonight. We have The Propsal, which we've seen, but it was so cute I thought we'd watch it again and then loan it to my parents. Have a nice night, Kathy! You can probably push the buttons on the TV without using the remote - just in case!

OK - I have been gone for a day and a half and had a lot of reading to do. Here goes:

Lisa, I love the hot tea in the little pot at the Chinese restaurant. Unfortunately, haven’t done that for a long time. What does everyone order for Chinese?

Natalie – just in case your DH brings his laptop, HAVE A GREAT TIME AT WDW (my favorite place)!

Barb – awesome that you have started using other things for rewards!

Robin – too funny about the BenGay for Cindy, enjoy your new CD, but it is way too early to be in the Christmas mode.

Jocelyn – your quiet day at the pool sounds lovely.

Kate – I am sorry your DH isn’t appreciated at his company.

Laura – sorry your tummy doesn’t like Step 2. Hopefully it can get used to it.

Pam – lucky you for getting to hold a baby. I just saw a pampers commercial the other day with the cutest newborns. I told my son I missed those days. I could just sit and hold them forever.

Lisa – how funny your mom is with her comment about John-Paul marrying an orphan. We are lucky that the milk at our Sam’s Club is made without growth hormones. I have wondered about the early development myself.

Nell – awesome job on the next 3 lbs. Woo hoo!

Cindy – one thing Diane said in her e-mail to me was that stress can hinder weight loss. I think normal busy stress is very different than grief stress.

Hi Honeygram!

Barb – sounds like you’ll be having fun with your family. The day doesn’t matter.

Kathy – sorry the fatigue hit yesterday. It sounds like you had a bunch of good days in a row though!

Barb – too funny about your Halloween couples. I guess we are in our Ozzie and Harriet stage right now, with Archie and Edith in our future.

Robin – I think you would stay on Step 1 forever if you could.

Jocelyn – Halloween sounds like a blast in Waikiki. Friday night fireworks, how cool. I love fireworks.

Nell – Your Christmoose sounds like fun!

Robin – sorry you have to spend your day off bathing ponies. I stopped by my office today and the boss’ daughter was in town from SanFrancisco. She came home because she and boss had to put down her “first” horse this a.m. It was so sad talking to them about it.

Kathy – sorry we sent the rain to you. Today is the first day we have had sunshine in quite a while, and I am loving it. Our farmers are in a world of hurt aroud here, they can't get into the fields to harvest since we have had so much rain. We have had 11.32" of rain this month, which is about 8" more than normal.

Cindy – sounds like a busy Halloween. Post pics of the kids. My DD just left with her friends as the Blues Brothers. 1 minute after they left they called us to ask the names of the Blues Brothers. I guess it helps to know who you are :rotfl:

Lisa – awesome on the new size!

Nell – looks like you have acquired a new “mom” who wants to help you out.

Lisa – good info on the Smuckers Spreads – sound yummy.

Well, I need to go vacuum and get ready for the friends that are coming for a post trick-or-treat weenie roast. I am planning 2 plain Nathan's hot dogs and then some dark chocolate while they all have s'mores for dessert. I love s'mores:mad:

Oh, It's probably resin, but it looks like a wood carving. Ha, ha, I made it sound like it was already on the platter!

Actually, I kept envisioning a carved pumkin somehow looking like a carved turkey. My brain is stuck on pumpkins!

It was fun to see you, Beverly! Have a great time tonight! I'm thinking we will go to PF Changs soon and have brown rice, lettuce wraps and some shrimp or chicken and veggies. Our son will want to go for sushi when he's home for Thanksgivng weekend - can't have two cheats - have to think that over. I'm really wanting just mainly turkey, 1/2 sweet potato and some veggie. That would please me just fine. Oh, and I'll make some gravy with Thick 'n Thin so we can eat it on the turkey:) They will all want my pumpkin cheesecake, so I better learn how to make that mousse, too!

YAY! YAY! YAY! I looked and looked for the Polaner and never could find it.
