MM Warriors Part Deux (As of October 27)

What brand do you use?

Lisa - Great news on your "losses."

Sandra, I have also not had the results I have expected. I need to tweak some things and see what works for me.

I buy lots of different green teas. We prefer organic tea. Trader Joes, Celestial Seasonings, Taos, there are so many good ones. I drink Teas' Teas Green Jasmine iced tea every day. They sell the big bottles even at Target now. We buy 4 at a time, lol!

You might still contact Diane for a reference. She might have had contact with someone in your area. It seems she is contacted about a lot of things!!

Back to the Green Tea!!

I just looked through the book and my pantry. I found the highlighted area where she says 2 bags of green tea equal the amount of caffeine in one cup of coffee. SHe does not seem to say how much green tea we should have - or am I missing something. I just added green to another bevrage andi it wasn't too bad and then I found 2 boxes of green tea with orange peel and spices. I'll try that next. I just don't do well with caffeine, though.

Sharon and Bev - I feel like both of you. I am seeing so little change in the numbers. Bev - we are on the low end of the scale so 3 - 5 pounds is not a lot anyhow and it might only be inches we see. I am going to see how perfectly I can do this between now and Thanksgiving and see what the tape measure says. I like the theory of eating more often and not let the liver start dumping so this way of eating is great. I might not be getting enough carbs except from veggies so I might try upping them. I have been low carbing for so long it is hard to change!! Can you teach an old dog new tricks???:lmao:

I am now off to run errands - got sidetracked a bit with the tea thing!!

You could take the capsules if you really don't want to drink the tea. Just about every drug store has green tea capsules now.

Pant, pant, pant, pant. Can you hear me panting from racing through all of the posts trying to catch up! I think I am going to count it as part of my exercise for today! :lmao:

Nice try, Kate! Can I count wiggling into clothes at Ross as part of my exercise? I bought 3 out of 3! One really sexy sweater.:woohoo: Really, it's kinda classy, but hubby will think it's sexy.:rolleyes1

Good evening everyone! Wow, you guys have been chatty the last couple of days!!
Bev, I'll be saying prayers for you. I can't believe it's been months, and still not better!!

Jocelyn, thank you for the recipe link. I forgot all about it! It is now bookmarked LOL. As for the coconut, I love it!! Thank you for the recipe for the cookies.
Also, please don't be afraid to share here. We are all family in my opinion. Whatever is going on in your life, it's important to us. No matter how big or little. Laugh, cry, whatever. If your feeling down, let us all join hands, and we'll pick you up. We love you and would never get upset with you for sharing with us. If you want to share, it's important to you, and as I said, if it's important to you, it's important to us.

Lisa, I don't know if I would trust my girls trick or treating at your house!! If you kidnapped Carrie, you'd return her in a day. She is OCD about cleaning. Her room is just so. She drives me CRAZY!
Also, love the lights! We will be needing new lights at our side door. I am thinking maybe coach lights if you don't mind me copying you.
Congrats on the lost inches!! I am so happy for you. I absolutely love Ross! That is where I bought the first dress for Tristan's wedding. I am in need of a new purse and want to get one there I think. Or at Marshalls.

Nell, I remember not too long ago, watching a show on TV that dealt with bedbugs. I can't remember what show it was, but a whole community was infected. They brought in professionals with these huge air fans that go up to I believe it was around 200*. They said that was the only way to kill them. They had special lights they could use in the darkened room to find them. One daughter was so mad at her mom for "transporting" them, she didn't speak to her for a while. She treated her mom like crap. Her mom was so upset. I felt sooo bad for her.

Cindy, thanks for the reminder of the song. I will be singing it the rest of the night. Mike will have me commetted!!

Carol, thank you for sharing your conversation with your sister. Doesn't it make you feel loved when they say stuff like that? My sister is always telling me even though she's 1500 miles away, she doesn't know what she'd do without me. She is my only sister and the middle child. I'm the youngest. My brother is the oldest. They really make me feel special.

Pam, CONGRATS!!!! I'm so glad mom and baby are doing well. My girls were about the same size. They looked so very tiny!! Please pass on my congrats to mommy, daddy, and baby.

Robin, that is the sweetest thing!! And yes, people do still wear them. I actually still have mine from my ex-hubby. It had both our names inscribed on it with a small diamond in the middle. I am so happy for you that you found such a sweet gentleman!! And you're promising to "wait" for him LOL.

Stwill, congrats on the weight loss and inches lost!! You are doing great!!

Melanie, I don't think you should really go by weight. Go by the way clothes are fitting. I am one of those (close your eyes TuTu) daily weighers. My weight will flucuate by at least 3 pounds a day. After a fluxuation of about 3 or 4 days, I show a consistant loss. Right now I've been gaining/losing the same 3 pounds for about 2 days now. But I know my clothes fit me better, so I don't fixate on the weight aspect.

Barb, conrats on you're job being secure. In these times, that's a very good thing!!

All is going well here. I am on my 3rd day of actually feeling almost human LOL. I have been getting a lot of stuff done. Even cooking suppers!
Tonight I made home made chicken noodle soup. For my noodles, I used the spaghetti squash. I am impressed. It was good!
I don't like green tea at all. I do take the pills though. I have been drinking more decaf coffee now that it's getting cooler out. I easily drink 64oz of it. But I need to be drinking water, not coffee. OUCH!! Tutu just zapped me :worship:
I have been playing with the same 3 pounds for the last days. I know not to put anything into the scale. Just amazes me how our bodies go up and down. I actually get a chuckle out of it. But I have noticed my "lighter" days are when I eat the way I should.
Well, off to read my book some before bed. Now that I'm all caught up, it won't take me as long to read through them and post.
I'll be back before bed.

Hi All! BUSY here, so not much time to read up...if I miss anyone I m sorry and will catch up later after the gym!

Lisa - your hubby did dishes? WOW, note to self: ask Ken if he does dishes

Barb - HOORAY FOR YOUR JOB!!! That is the BEST NEWS!!:cool1:

Sandra - thans, Im still so embarrassed I had to ask you!!

Carol - thanks, I am calmer about the ring today and just trying to sit back and say awwww and appreciate him!

Bev - good job on the 4 waters, now as Tutu's assistant, Lets Get the Other 4 in!!!!

Natalie - thanks for the confidence builder...I know he is great and I have no intention of waiting too long...I dont want HIM to get away either!

Jocelyn - I agree the green teas are YUK, and sound slike you have some great ideas to mask the taste! I am going to ask Diane about whether it matters if we do the decaf or not, since I dont drink any caffeine at all anymore either.

Lisa - YEAH!! on the inches lost...I hope the 5 1/2 weeks into step 2 means the weight will start sliding off now...I am SO looking forward to that day!!

Nell - start dancing again young lady, just dont go crazy and make yourself sore! Just try to to do 10-15 minutes a couple times a day!

Kate - OK, so reading SO does NOT count for exercise points!! OMG I read 3-5 books a week, so if that counted I would be totally invisible by now!!:lmao:

Kate and Lisa - if you guys are claiming exercise points for all this stuff, then I think Barb and I get to have credit for arm exercising while we lift our ciggie's to our lips!!:lmao:

Kathy - Well I am relieved to know that the promise ring isnt a thing of the way too distant past...and his old-fashioned charm is really quite sweet!

Nell: Hope you danced today!:dancer:

Robin: I say there's no such thing as bad jewelry, LOL! Glad you're getting used to the idea.

Beverly, do you ever go out for Chinese food and have hot tea in the cute black pot? I can't get enough of it:love:

Nope, I slept. I just woke up and I've been sleeping since about 5pm. I was exhausted, I don't know why. I am going to put together exercise music that isn't using music made for hyperactive 20 year old's. :lmao: And I just made some decaf. My 4.5 hours is up in about 5 minutes, so first I better make some food. Lisa, I love that song "I hope you dance."

Pony, I think that is a good idea with the packets of oatmeal. I'm thinking that maybe I could buy the box once, measure how much is in the packet and then buy the big cans. It's not just the affordablity, it seems like the packets don't taste as good. Maybe they are more processed or something? From what I have gathered on the internet, 1/4 cup oatmeal should make 1/2 cup prepared. I have every other measuring cup except 1/4 cup! Figures!

Cindy, even though there was no weight loss for the detox, I hope it did some good for you physically.

Kathy it's good to see you back sharing! We missed you! I'm glad to see your here too Seabreezes!

Well, off to prepare some food!

Nell: I agree with you about the oatmeal; the packets seem kinda wimpy, like there's less fiber maybe? My Mom buys that instant rice and it gives me the same impression. You could use half of your 1/2 cup mearsure:idea:Hope you had good food! We're having tacos - easy.

I'm glad you love the song I Hope You Dance! That's why I said it that way. It was my ringtone when J-P first left for college. My motto, even if he is a boy.

ok, I am outta here.....!! Off to the gym, not in the mood, but going anyway! :thumbsup2

Nell and Lisa - uh, kinda sappy with the tunes? I need to appoint someone to pick a wedding song, but if thats the best you two can do...:rotfl2:

catch y'all in awhile! Pony is still incognito until we filter out the infiltrators:3dglasses

:woohoo:

Hi Nell - Yes, it did help me a lot. I have gottn my body "regular". I really think everyone should do it once a year. My know my colon and intestines appreciate it!!!

I only did it for 2 days instead of a week and lost 5 lbs, but gained it all back and more...now I'm back to my normal 167. I've been here for 3 months.:sad2:

sorry to hear that Cindy--I can't understand why you're not losing, thought the detox would jump start you. I'll be praying something gets figured out for you and you start losing. have you been measuring??

Natalie, have a safe, wonderful trip! :wave2:

Robin: Remember what I told you about postponing Thanksgiving? I have to do it myself this year! Poor kid has to teach at his college on the Wed. night until 10 pm and there are no more flights out so I told him it's just a date on the calendar and we can call it Thanksgiving on Friday if you fly home on Thursday so I'll be at the airport while you are all doing turkey day, but I don't mind;)

How can you even go there to call me and Nell sappy after the emails and poems and songs - need I say more?? There are so many good wedding songs and they all make me cry.Wonder if Tom is having songs at his wedding? Old English then, I bet.:bride:

Jocelyn: I kept forgetting to say awesome on looking slim in the outfit the other day when your friend noticed. I'm renewing my efforts to find the black soy beans. They didn't have them at Trader Joes. Keep a list in case there is anything you want me and Kate to bring you in Feb. when we meet. You'll have to pack a separate suitcase full of food items!:dance3:

Yup. I lost several inches and have stayed there. I'm not frustrated anymore I really enjoy how I'm eating and all the different vitamins I'm taking and the energy level is great too. Sooner or later it will come off. I think next week will be my time (after I start P90X)....I'm going to be so sore!!!
