MM Warriors Part Deux (As of October 27)

One more day until Tom's wedding! Tom - we will be thinking about you!

Well the ponies dont seem to mind the rainy gloomy weather, just got back from feeding them and they are COVERED with mud from rolling around like piglets in the mud!! And they seem quite pleased with themselves as well, so guess what I will be doing on Sunday? LOL

Kate - sorry that DH doesnt get more recognition from his company, financially or otherwise? My Mom is working in the garden center at Lowe's, and they LOVE her, as she always shows up and the customers adore "that little old lady" outside! But her manager there is also overworked, underpaid, and never recognized or appreciated for keeping their store numbers in the Top 3...its a sad time that companies no longer take care of their employees in any way...what happened to the days of bonuses, retirement plans, and genuine care and concern for a good employee and his family too?

My job is all about the numbers, thats all they care about, so off I go to produce some "end of the month" numbers, so I can have the priviledge of continuing to work there!

Talk to y'all later!:grouphug:

I feel like yuk tonight. It's the second day on step two so maybe I'm having issues as my liver refills. I keep flirting with a headache. I took my two aspirin 1 Tylenol mix. That usually seems to do it. I am setting the clock for every 4.5 hours still and having my 11-20 carb when the alarm goes off. It seems to be working well for now. My next feeding is 1am. I don't care that it's waking me for now. Down the road I might start making a meal schedule. Especially if I start school, I'm going to need to. I don't mind so much with my awesome table! Yes, small things thrill me to no end! :rotfl: I am resisting taking a photo of my table and posting it for everyone, so I'm doing good. :lmao:

I did ok with the oatmeal, but Jocelyn's suggestion is going to make it much easier. I think it was more than one person who suggested I use flax meal to bulk it up, and it worked great! I couldn't even taste it with the cinnamon! So, let's see today I had

1. 6 triscuts with hi fiber all fruit and a Nathan's dog. 11:30
2. egg sandwich on a 5 carb wrap and 1 pack sf applesauce 4pm
3. oatmeal and scambled eggs 8:30 pm

(I know that's a lot of eggs and I will change that when I get to go shopping this weekend)

So tonight:
4. Smoothie with ingredients added to bring it between 11-20 carbs. 1am
5. Applesauce 5:30am
6. Breakfast 10am

My only issue is being able to wake up at 10am. Hopefully I can sleep tonight. If I cannot wake up I'll replace breakfast with another applesauce and go back to sleep again at 10.

Hi Nell,

I'm not happy on step 2, this is the 2nd time starting step 2 and I start having potty problems  My IBS does better on step 1.

Evening Lisa. Yes, finally this afternoon. It killed me to have to wait all day to tell her. I tried to call my DH but he was outside and didn't answer. That's when I came here and posted to you all, I had to tell someone :rotfl: My director sounded very happy and relieved. The prosecutor's office is in the process of setting up the protocols now so it will still be several weeks before we get to sit down with them and go over the details. We have done similar work for them in the past so it will be an easy startup.

The weirdest thing happened today. After I got this good news, I had a thought pop into my head about what we could have for dinner and dessert tonight to celebrate  I haven't used food in relation to my emotions for so long that it really hit me. Tonight when I got home we had some decaf coffee with Jocelyn's low carb Irish Cream, then pot roast, salad and broccoli. That and good conversation was our celebration :thumbsup2

Barb, this made me weepy in a good way! I was so touched by your choices and emphasis on good cconversation.:cloud9:

Thanks Lisa!! Do you have a Raley's in the area? They were in the health food section in Jackson. I now buy the black soy beans dried and cook them in the crock pot - that's because Safeway quit carrying them in cans!! At least they have the dried beans. If there is an Oriental food store you could call and see it they have them.

I noticed a couple of you were going to Ross and Marshall's. If you like the Da Vinci syrups you might look in the food section. They ususally have then for a really good price.

Nell - There are 4 Tablespoons to a 1/4 cup.

I'll try to swing by Raleys in the next couple of days. Can't wait!

:wave2:Good day everyone!

I just wanted to pop in for a minute to get caught up and say Hi to everyone. :teeth: I don't dare stay away for more than a day because it's nearly impossible to get caught back up with you all! lol

Audri is coming here today!! :yay: All my work is caught up, doctor appointments out of the way and this granny gets to sit and hold her for days and days!! I do feel kind of bad for the other grandparents, my son refuses to spend any time over at their place because they just don't have room for extra bodies. I think I'll survive that decision!:teeth:

I'm going to go back and address a few of your post's so bear with me! If you don't see me for a few days, you all know where I'll be! lol:cloud9:

I'm back. Thanks to everyone who shared in my happiness  I can't get ahold of my director to let her know that we most likely have been saved. I can't wait to tell her. She is so supportive and the best mentor I've ever had. I'm especially glad to be bringing her some happy news because the business' finances have been so bleak and on top of that she lost her daughter to cancer recently.

I'll be back in a bit.

Congratulations Barb on your continued work and "oh heck yeah!" on your continued MM success! So happy for you! :dance3:

:yay: You are so blessed to have a new healthy grandbaby! Enjoy meeting her

Barb, this made me weepy in a good way! I was so touched by your choices and emphasis on good cconversation.:cloud9:

Love you Lisa  My husband is so relieved. He knows how hard it is to get me to stop shopping even when things are tight

Nell: I love my baths almost as much as my hot tub and the bathtub is closer to the bed, LOL! Glad you got the veggies in!

Robin: You’d better not stop the mushy stuff! We live vicariously through you, and we’re saving a ton of money on romance novels! GF, you have to realize, I’ve been with the same man (not complaining) for 39 years! Keep it comin’!

I’m with you on the dislike for malls. Love to support the little guy and buy things at fairs, boutiques, etc. A lot more one of a kind and feels better somehow. I’ll have to leave 2 hours early for my date with Jocelyn and Kate so I can stop at all my little home shops along the way, lol! Tom and I want new kitchen knives so we are buying just one good knife every time we pass through Jackson, Jocelyn, at the kitchen store there. I’d rather support them!

Can you tape yourself drinking kelp and grass. I really want to see that!

Kathy: I haven’t seen D-ribose in pills, but I’m sure it works fine. I think the powder gets into your system faster maybe? It’s very, very fine and a little sweet is all you taste. I had it in my green tea yesterday. Quite good!

Sandra: Love that tip about the dressing. It looks like you’ve barely touched it and you still get all the flavor!

Kate: I bet your poor DH works so hard this time of year!! I will do my best to support him, lol! I got Jones trouser jeans yesterday for $16.99 and a gorgeous party sweater.

Where does your friend live that wants to stop smoking? She should do the acupuncture. There couldn’t have been a harder case than my Mom. She smoked non stop for 45 years. Quit in one day.:woohoo:

Pam: What a lovely day when you get to hold a grandbaby! I said to my Mom once “Oh, no, Mom, I just realized John-Paul’s wife will want to go to her parents for all the holidays!” She said, “Take heart, honey, maybe he’ll marry an orphan.” My Mom is so supportive. Cracks me up! Have the best day ever holding baby Audri!:cloud9:

Good Morning MM Warriors!!

I am trying to get caught up on all the post but somehow it seems impossible. :surfweb:

Seabreeze: I sent you a friend request on Facebook

Nat: Happy Belated Birthday!!

Disney: I love the title with the Deux, can't wait to see what next weeks will be.

Sunnee, My brother in law is having a fund raiser at his restaurant on November 7 from 1-6 it will be fun for the kids and its for the boy Michael Brewer that was set on fire by other boys.

ZumbaMama :lmao:

Lisa: Hi! How are you?

Pony: is :lovestruc. Promise Ring I love it!!

OK, that's what I got so far so bare with me while I read some more.

:grouphug: to all!!

DH works for Ross. He has been with the company for three years. He manages one of the local stores. Given the economic times, the company has done really well the last few years. I have never worked in the corporate world but in my opinion, he works really, really hard and doesn't get rewarded for it. In September, they were putting new shelving in his store and he had to work ALL night long for 5 nights in a row plus put in a most of his normal hours during the day while the store was open. They are doing something else to the store in a few week and he will be working from 11:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m the following day (double shifts). It is always about the numbers for the company and his store always has the best numbers for his "zone" (the zone includes 4 or 5 local districts) and it doesn't seem to mean anything. Well, I guess it means that he has a job. I just feel bad for him. He is burned out.

It really irks me when companys don't appreciate good employees . About a year before my husband retired, he was already doing a 14 hour day because of his commute. On top of that the job starting doing mandatory overtime at least 2 days a week. He was getting about 4 hours sleep a night before he had to get up and head out again. All because his manager couldn't schedule staff properly :sad2:

Bev and Jocelyn, I'm right there with you on the tea thing. I've not been having it either. I can't stand it but think I might try the one at Target that Lisa mentioned. I could be way off on this but if it's recommended for it's antitoxins, then wouldn't my supplements C and E basically do the same for me?

Lisa, I keep checking for more info about those size 14 jeans!! Huh? Huh? I have five more weeks before I start seeing a loss again!?! I'm right there on the thoughts about the dentist. If I don't see mine for the next ten years it will be too soon! blah!

Stwill, it sure sounds like you're doing very well, congratulations and welcome aboard!

Cindy, I'm going to throw a thought out to you. You are so busy with all you do and those you care for. Are you feeling a lot of daily stress? I was thinking about how for years I got through days on shear will and stress alone and boy did I hold onto weight back then. Could this be hindering your loss perhaps? Just a thought, I hope this is not the case and that your new workout routine does the trick!

Robin, I want a promise ring!! My band broke last summer and I want one that promises it will be replaced one day! lol What a charming man you have!

Nell, seems like you're working like a trooper through those first few days of Step II, keep it up!

Love you guys! Everyone have a wonderful weekend and a safe, fun Halloween!

Pam: I bought 16 yesterday, but they are slimmer designer ones so you know they all fit differently. The ones in the mail haven't come yet.:confused3 I won't feel skinny for months, but that's ok.

Good to see you, Laura! Love you!

Pam: The main reason for Diane recommending green tea is for metabolism. You might want to google it? Have you only tried one kind of green tea? There's peach, mint...?? Mint is really good. That iced tea I love comes in mint and lemongrass, which are both great, but the big bottles come in plain and green jasmine, only, I think.

Highly recommend this clip from Fox news investigating the additives in milk. My husband has always thought girls are developing earlier because of the hormones put in our food. Cows are shot up with growth hormones, which will speed up the progress of breast cancer! That an more is discussed in this clip. If you must drink it, get organic with no hormones.

Thank you for all of your support Jocelyn. I still feel pretty tired, but it's ok. I'm grateful to be getting healthy, no matter what it entails.

Kathy, long posts are great! No worries!:thumbsup2

Thanks Robin! I'm thinking protein and veggies! I feel like I'm always eating, lol. Your almost back on step two, I know it will work a lot better for you this time!

Good morning Stwill!:cool1:

Good morning Kate! :yay:Good to see you sharing! It does stink that your husband and people in his line of work are not valued. I think if employers showed appreciation, even if they can't afford financial appreciation, they would have a much happier workforce!

Laura! It's so good to see you! Does it help at all to try different carbs with the IBS? Like maybe peas rather than bread etc.

Morning Lisa!

Pam, I hope you have a wonderful visit with your son's family, especially your new baby granddaughter!

Ok, part two coming up when I catch up!

OK I am back:

Nell: Am I on the e-mail list?? Way to go with the 54 pounds!!:cool1:

Tom: Tomorrow is finally the big day!!!

Honeygram: Welcome!!! How did you find us??

Carol-Fish: Funny how the kids know more about the computer than we do ;)
Thanks for the macaroon recipe it sounds delish!!

Barb F: Congrats on the 25 Pounds!!:cheer2:

Lisa: I had the same problem with my boots, kept getting the fat pinched in the zipper. :scared1: and I finally can get mine on and I can't wait to wear them. :woohoo: Did you get warm yet??

Gettinghealthy: I am glad the flylady is helping you, I use her Holiday control journal because it is so easy to get stressed out over the holidays. I see you felt your zap!!

Cindy: Congrats on the no candy craving!! I think we have all come a long way with that one :dance3: I hope you felt the zap from weighing yourself  The twins are slipping you carbs while you are sleeping :rotfl: I love the spring!!!

Malzner: I am proud of you for doing your Zumba video! I hope you liked it!!

Pam: You are a Granny now how cool :cool1:

Disney: Keeping you in my prayers :flower3: Glad to see you are doing Zumba and yes you will have to kick it up a notch! Drink your green tea! (it's good for your oobies) LOL! funny writing in pig latin.

Stwill: Welcome to the baggy pants club!!

Boy I sure hope I didn't miss anyone if I did I am so.............sorry but my eyes are swirling round and round. LOL!

I hope everyone is getting there 30 minutes of exercise, drinking their water and green tea and not weighing!!! If you aren't then you will be placed in the NO WHINING ZONE!!! (I stole that from Flylady) and zapped :pixiedust:

Love to you all  I Have missed you bunches!!!!:grouphug:

My boss just came in so I better get me a** to work LOL!!

Good day to everyone,

I haven't posted much here. Don't have a lot to say. But enjoy reading
all the posts. Everyone seems to have big encouragement here. So hope
there will be light in the tunnel for me. :thumbsup2 I am still in week 5 of
Step l. Dreading the holidays, of course . Everyone have a good MM day
and everyone keep up the good will power.

Honeygram
