I am trying to coordinate all our travel plans, and since we are going to different places, it's kind of difficult...I'm trying to maximize our DL days as much as possible. We are either going to get a 5 day or a 6 day parkhopper. On the last leg of our trip, I want to use up a day (or 2) of the passes before we come home.

Right now I have us booked to come back to Anaheim at around 1p on Tues. the 7th with Amtrak. I looked at the DL park schedule, and it looks like both the 7th & 8th (Wed.) are MM days, does this sound right? If this is the case, we can visit the park on Wed. since we would miss the one on Tuesday if we stick with the current booking. I thought about skipping out on going to DL on the 4th (Sat.) and leaving for our coastal trip that day instead, and then having 2 days left of DL when we return.
The tentative plan is:

May 30: DL
May 31: DL
June 1: DL
June 2: Universal
June 3 & 4: DL

June 5-6: Coast of California
June 7: return to Anaheim
June 8: DL?
June 9: free day, not sure what we will do
June 10: flying home

or...we could switch up a little and leave Anaheim June 4 (Sat.) to avoid the 1st weekend day since the new rides are opening, and come back Monday the 6th and then have 1-2 days to use up the tickets (depending on whether we get 6 day passes) which ones sound better?? :confused3

Thanks for your help! :goodvibes

They don't do MMs after Grad Nights and reschedule them for other days. Wednesday night is a Grad Night so no MM on Thursday morning.

If you don't really care about the new rides I would avoid the parks on the 3rd/4th it will be a madhouse.

They say that weekdays are always better crowd wise than weekends. However those are also the last couple days that SoCal AP's are not blocked so it's hard to predict what might happen!

MM days are on that Tuesday & Wednesday (instead of Thursday) according to the Park Hours calendar. If you don't use your MM the previous week than it would be a good time to do so.

It looks like to me you need the 6 day passes :cool1: I honestly have not done anything besides DL so I can't comment on what else you can do to enjoy your time in SoCal.

We are going to take advantage of Wednesday the 8th MM for sure, since I verified it is a MM day!

I am definately doing the LM ride, the other 2, I don't care, but my family will want to do ST, so it's all good. If they happen to have soft openings for LM the preceding days, I'll definately take advantage of it, then skip it on opening day. If not, I'll just make sure I'm there super early (staying on property) and will take afternoon breaks, etc. Who knows, we may go do something else those afternoons then come back in the evening! I'm not a diehard park hopper that stays until I drop, I do take breaks, I have no choice~my aching feet insist that I do! :rotfl:

Yes we will enjoy the quieter weekdays that we are there, and the weekend we will just have to play it by ear, maybe we will do 4 days initially and 1 after we return from our train trip, right before we come home.

I just looked at the schedule again, and verified that both Tues the 8th & Wed the 9th are MM days. I already bought the train tickets (today) so we'll miss the Tues MM, but no worries, we'll have already gone twice the previous week, once on Tuesday and Saturday. :thumbsup2

Not sure if we will need the 6 day ones, especially if they come out with the buy 3 get 2 free deal again! Since we get back to Anaheim at 2pm on the
30th (Memorial Day) we may just go to dinner/movie at the Anaheim Gardenwalk and then walk around in DD that evening, then start our DL adventure the next day!

I'll figure out something else for us to do, there are tons of things to do in the area!! If nothing else, we can lay by the pool and rest from our busy schedule! :rotfl2:
