No way! You've already had your fairy tale season come true! LOL! It's our turn!! Although I'm not quite sure if the Cubs can make it all the way this season. I do think they'll be much better this year.

I'm not big on making predictions though... I just keep hoping! I figure I'm only in my 30's, so I've still got a chance to see them win in my lifetime...

And as long as it the Yankees or White Sox - that will be fine by me!

I have been a bit disconnected from baseball recently, because my team is the Braves. My original team was the A's, but I let them go in the 90's when they starting getting rid of all my favorite players.

All I would like to say about this year's baseball season is I hate Barry Bonds, and REALLY hope he does not break the home run record. He is a punk and a thug, (not to mention a drug addict) and he has no place in the game.

Shame on the Giants for re-signing him. I guess they aren't good enough to draw the fans without him. Maybe they can put a big top above the field at AT&T Park, because the Bonds Circus is about to begin.

I'd like my Tigers to get back to the series and win it this time--the pitchers are doing LOTS of fielding this spring training!!

Hoping for a Cardinals repeat!!! :cool1:

Ummm, Go Tribe? :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Actually, I think they have a pretty good core of players, but then again, I thought that last year too. :rolleyes1

You certainly have been doing a lot of celebrating over the years.

A lot of celebrating.

Amen to that! Last year was especially nice! ;) My son-in-law is a Cubs fan. I told him he better not raise my grandchildren with that sort of thinking!

Actually, I used to enjoy watching the Cubs on WGN, listening to Harry Carry (hiccup!) & Steve Stone. But once they became division rivals of my favorite team, the Astros, I can't stand them!

They do have a good core of players but to me their a wildcard... They will either be in the AL Central Race or they will be out of the playoff hunt come July... Cleveland needs to find a spot for Ryan Garko everyday

We'll miss Soriano, but as long as we have Zimmerman and Patterson, I'm
happy. :thumbsup2

Hopefully two teams with payrolls under $100 million.

And my Twins are comfortably in that category!

I agree!!! Well anybody but the Cubs and Yankees...

OK, so why??? I say the Yankees cuz they've won their fair share! So I want to know why not the Cubs? I guess I ask that cuz I don't understand "hating" a team for no real reason. I mean, I don't like the Cardinals cuz they're in our division and it's a rivalvry. And the W. Sox, well, we're a fan of only 1 team in this city, and they did win 2 years ago. So I don't cheer for the W. Sox at all. But, I've never understood hating a team who hasn't won it in nearly a century!!??

I'm not even worried about who's going to win the world series. I'm just concerned with if the Orioles are going to finally get out of fourth. I'd even take a third place finish!

It's a tough division, that's for darn sure - 4 out of 5 teams have a chance (sorry, Royals fans!)

I have to cheer against your Tribe though, since I'm a big Twins fan. I was so bummed when they got shut out of the playoffs last year after a truly amazing comeback season. (The most fun I've ever had at a baseball game was the final game of the season, where the packed stadium was watching the scoreboard more than the game, chanting "Let's Go Royals" to help the Twins clinch - plus Mauer getting his batting title. Ah, it was baseball heaven that day!)

I'll always have a special place in my heart for the Cubs too - my first love, what made me a baseball fan as a little girl. I guess my first taste of what it is to be a Cubs fan too, since it was 1984 and they lost to the Padres that year. *Sigh* someday I'll get to see them win it!
