As many of you may know, the Red Sox are going to the World Series. (I just LOVE saying that). The only problem I have is how late the games start, and how much later they have been running.
In the Boston area, and most of the civilized world, I assume, all people have been watching every minute of these games.
This results in late, late nights. It has gotten to the point where my kids school has stated they will be sending letters home to parents if their children are suffering from the lack of sleep.
I understand that MLB has to accomidate people all over the country (and world, daer I say) who want to watch, and the advertising dollars are much higher for prime time, but these games don't get over until midnight if they only go 9 innings, forget about 14! During the World Series, the ads will be longer and more frequent, too.
Even the weekend games don't start until 7:30, and there's no reason for that, I don't think.
I don't think it's unreasonable for the weekend games to start at 4 or 5, and weeknight games to start at 6 or 7.
What do you think? (and all times are eastern, thank you.)
